The " End the Wait List Petition " is over 4,000 signatures!! And our Constant

Contact email list has over 5,000 email addresses.

This is GREAT!! Congratulations.

But, WE NEED MORE

Also, please help in the following ways:

1. We need you to send the message below to any listservs in which you

participate and to all of your friends, professional acquaintances and others.

There are 4 million folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Right now, we have 4,019 signers of the petition. We need 500,000. Other

organizations have done this. So can we. Please get this circulated through

service agencies, Arc's, Down Syndrome Lists, UCP lists, ANCOR lists, Community

Centered Boards, state departments of DDD, AAIDD, parent groups such a P2P's and

other similar organizations.

2. Your stories (such as having to quit jobs to care for a loved one, taking on

a second job to pay for a care provider, being unable to move to a different

state because of loss of services, or having to move a loved one into an

institution) are essential to getting critical bills passed in congress. Please

3. NOEWAIT is a non-funded organization. Everything we do is by volunteers.

Are there individuals or organizations out there who would like to help as a

financial backer of NOEWAIT? If so, please contact NOEWAIT@.... We are

sponsored by a very reputable 501 C 3 organization. WE CAN'T SUCCEED WITHOUT

FUNDING!
