Guest guest
Why don't they all take a road trip to Wis.??? Isn't that state #3 in the nation for services? Gosh, they wouldn't even have to get on a plane to go do some hands-on research - let's pile them all on a hot school bus with no seat belts and take them for a ride!!! House and Senate Members working with Gov. Quinn to look for Medicaid options. Hi IPADD, After reading the Springfield State Journal's article from the Digest 1178, the following persons are meeting with Gov. Quinn to help figure out any options for Medicaid. Being a novice, I feel the article shows them wanting to figure out how to get people WHO REALLY SHOULD NOT QUALIFY for Medicaid OFF MEDICAID. Seems they are people to direct our options/letters/angst toward. Heck now why can't any one figure out to maybe check with other states that are SUCCESSFUL and find out how to work this nasty problem out. I will be calling the other Governor's of states that are in the top 10 for services and personally ask them to call our " novice, new Gov. left with crap to work with " in order to help guide his decision. Here is the list of house/senate members: Sen. Dale Righter, R-Mattoon Sen. Dave Syverson, R-Rockford Sen. Dan Kotowski, D-Park Ridge Sen. Donne Trotter, D-Chicago Rep. Bellock, R-Hinsdale Rep. Rosemary Mulligan, R-Des Plaines Rep. Mautino, D-Spring Valley Rep. Naomi Jakobsson, D-Urbana Let's help educate them to our plight!! Guest guest
Hi all: I am trying to gauge whether we might want to consider a conversion to Facebook. There are abut 1,000 members in dialogue on Facebook about the impending budget cuts in just a few short weeks. In about 3 years, IPADDU has attracted 500 plus members... Any thoughts on this would be welcomed? Ellen .. Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@... House and Senate Members working with Gov. Quinn to look for Medicaid options. Guest guest
Ellen, I think you mean THIS group, since I saw Noah's name right at the top of new members and it has over 1000 members -- the other one was originated by the ARC and has about 800 members. Here's the correct link (I think) http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=97840242756#/group.php?gid=95194961429 House and Senate Members working with Gov. Quinn to look for Medicaid options. Guest guest
Sorry for the confusion on Facebook links!!! I was vaguely aware that there were two groups...This Facebook stuff is more confusing to me than our simple stuff! Ellen Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@... House and Senate Members working with Gov. I am on FB every day and posting messages there would certainly get to me faster than the group (I do daily digest). I may be a few years off from really needing services (my son is only 9), but knowledge now can't hurt. Honestly, I think IPADDU would get more traffic moving to FB. Plus, with it being a more public forum... perhaps a little more difficult to be ignored? I could be wrong (politics are not my thing), but it's just my 2 cents.
