Guest guest
Carthage is a nice small Tenn. town, since the major industry closed down a few years ago, it has become a very tough place to make a living. There are no major medical facilities close by. I had a summer home near there, but due to my 4x bypass and an ICD a year later, we sold because of the lack of nearby medical facilities. I would give most anything to be back there. Hope this helps. Bob in Fl.
Guest guest
I have heard many times of the ranking of Illinois for services for Adults with Disabilities. . . very bottom! Does anyone know where Tennessee ranks in services? Thanks!
Guest guest
State of the States was last published in February 2008. The UCP State rankings was last published in June 2008. I have links to both on my web site. The State of the States if offered for sale. The UCP is available on the UCP.org for free. I am sure it has a web site. It used to be linked to the Illinois Lifespan web site . That would be a place to look. Cindi
Guest guest
I have the 2008 Braddock report which gives info for 2006... In state fiscal effort Tennessee is 29th in state spending for community and 13th in state spending for institutions. Illinois is 51st in state utilization rates of 6 beds and fewer and Tennessee is 41st...Tennessee spends about $70,000 per person in waiver costs per year vs Illinois' 33,600... I have read that they have cut funding but I do not know the impact on these numbers but I would suspect that things are worse than these reported figures...
