Zydus to cut AIDS drug price

----------------------------------------

Ahmedabad: Zydus Cadila Healthcare has also joined the price war

that has been raging in the domestic anti-AIDS drug segment. Taking

a cue from market leader Cipla and others like Aurobindo Pharma,

Zydus has decided to cut the prices of its three drugs by nearly

50 per cent.

“We want to provide drugs to the AIDS-affected persons

at a realistic price.” Zydus Group executive director Mr. Ganesh

Nayak told ET. While a 10-tablet strip of Zydowin (100 mg) is

currently priced at Rs 100, that of Ladiwin (150 mg) is priced

at Rs 230. Lamuzid (150 mg) is priced at Rs 470.
