HI , I know what you are saying about the doctors not being supportive

of a parent's decisions about vaccination. Mine are vaccinated, but were

delayed and only one or two amx, at a time. I was looked at as if I had

three ehads and was doing a diservice to my children! I am in MAryland.

, I also wanted to add that once I declined my 4 year old having the

second MMR. The doctor said he had to have it to start school. Well, he was

not starting school for another 16 months at the time! She got soo angry at

me , left the room, and had another doctor come in and tell me that I should

get the vaccine. I told him why I was declining it at that time. He

respected my wishes and told the first doctor that it was my decision.

Kim, what is the doctor that you use? Are they an MD? How did you find

them?

They will refute everything in writing.A picture of a vaccine injured child

can not be refuted, but ofcourse they will downplay it...won't happen to your

child and so on. In reality they can not guarantee it WON'T happen, hence the

right for every parent to be allowed to choose.

Best wishes in your search for a new doctor.

One of the most heart wrenching pictures I have see of a vaccine injured

Natasha, Welcome to the group! You might want to check out the literature

searches I have so far put on my website at:

http://www.vaccinationnews.com/Literature_Searches/literature_searches.htm

and supplement your research of the citations using pub med, as I suggest on

each page.

Of course, Sheri's site, (@whale.to's site, as well as my own, are all

good places to go to research the issue.

Introduction

Hi,

My name's Natasha Knox and I've recently joined the group. I have one son

iel, 19 mos and we're expecting our second child in May. We live in

Vancouver BC, Canada. We try to eat organically as much as possible, take

supplements, avoid antibiotics as much as possible (and have even elected

not to fill prescriptions on numerous occasions), exercise, get plenty of

fresh air and lead generally healthy lifestyles. We see a chiropractor

regularly, but do not currently see a homeopath or naturopath, although

we're open to the concepts and are looking for a credible, knowledgeable

homeo or naturopath.

Up until now, I've been vaccinating iel, albeit not on schedule. He's

one month past due for his booster and postponing taking him for this shot

until I've made an informed decision. While I've made the decision not to

give my son the MMR again (and I wish I could take back the first shot that

he received) or the chicken-pox vaccine--I think both are unnecessary, I'm

still on the fence about some others. Should I decide to vaccinate against

certain illnesses, I plan to have the vaccines done individually and NOT in

one huge group.

Reasons that I'm considering not vaccinating:

1. I could never shake the inescapable feeling that vaccinating might not

be in the best interests of my child.

2. Although I trust my doctor for the most part, the fact that she refuses

to acknowledge that are possible risks of vaccination, and possible side

effects concerns me. I find it difficult to believe that no one had ever

broached the subject with her before.

3. I am at home with my son, so his exposure to other children--well, other

people period, is limited.

4. I plan to homeschool, so exposure will be further limited.

5. I believe that the information provided to parents is inadequate, and it

makes me suspicious of the medical community. I was horrified to discover

recently that my son, posed a risk of infecting an unvaccinated child with

polio for three days after he was vaccinated. I was never given this

information and I have friends who do not vaccinate their children, who have

children close to iel's age. Thank heavens he didn't come into

contact with any unvaccinated children during the time he posed a risk. Had

I put someone else's child at risk because of my ignorance of the facts, I

would have never forgiven myself. I also worry that if I had not chosen to

vaccinate, I would be putting my son in a similarly dangerous position.

Reasons that I am still on the fence about certain vaccines:

1. My husband and I love to travel and plan to expose our children to a

variety of places and cultures. I wonder if the risk of taking an extended

vacation in certain places in Africa, Asia or South America might justify

certain vaccines.

2. Much of the information that I've come across so far has been largely

anecdotal. I'm looking for credible research from credible sources that

will help me make a decision that I am comfortable with.

3. While I believe that all vaccines pose a serious risk, I believe that

some of the diseases also pose a serious risk. What I'm seeking to do is

look at each vaccine and disease individually and weigh the risks of

infection the seriousness of life-threatening or fatal complications from

each disease and the probability of contracting the disease--both with

Canada and around the world and base my decision on what I think will work

best for us.

, I'm so excited to see you here! You will be amazed at the depth of

information here. And as I said, you will also meet some wonderful caring

people.

Sheri, since we've been having a lil love fest here, I'd like to add my

gratitude also. Thank you for sharing your information and for guiding us to

additional sources. What you do creates a ripple effect. here is

proof of that. If it weren't for you and the Group members, I might not have

been knowledgeable enough to help out and also guide her here.

Blessings to us all for the children we are saving - one child at a time.

By the way, the suggestions I gave to for detoxing her baby are

homeopathy and vitamin C. If anyone can think of anything else, please let

her know.

Hi everyone,

My name is Jane, I have five children, four boys and one baby girl

Willow. Willow was born with spina bifida.

All my children have had their vaccinations, thinking I was doing the

right thing. I am not going allow any more vac until I know all the

facts. I think it so wrong how parents are pressurised by health

officials to vaccinate.

I've asked her for her phonenumber.

She neeeds to get that baby to the homeopath immediately - hopefully she's

still on the list.

She had some names from my list and I hope she called.

Other wise maybe some belladonna immediately if she has it?

<<

,

My name is , I'm the Mom of five boys. Three stepsons and, two of my own

sons. They range in age from a 20 yr. old to a 2 yr. old. Two of my stepsons

have asthma. My oldest son has Asperger's Syndrome and, my 2 yr. old had a

reaction to the last vaccine he received at 10 months old. Since that time, I

have been researching autism and immunizations. I have found that my son with

Asperger's had many serious reactions to a few different vaccines. No one

told me they were reactions. His doctors told me he was sick. I have found

out so much just on this list alone. But, there are others, there is a list

on just for parents who are trying to chelate their autistic

children. Many high in mercury.

With all of that said, I have some comments on your introduction letter.

<< Regarding vaccines, I don't have children but I do have nieces and

nephews and know people with kids, some of whom have raised

questions/concerns about immunizations. I know that the medical and

epidemiological literature credits vaccines with vastly improving the

public health. I know that all vaccines potentially have side

effects. I know that many people are not convinced of their safety. I

know it's an extremely emotional and controversial topic.>>

I hope you don't take any offense to this, because there is no offense meant.

It is very hard to understand what we as mother's go through concerning this

issue. I had nine nieces and nephews before I had my son. I loved them all

dearly but, nothing prepared me for the love I felt when I had my own child.

That being said, maybe not having children will be an advantage for your

article. I don't know?

<< I'll be frank. At this point, I tend to believe that vaccines do

more good than harm for most people. That said, I'm determined to

approach the subject with an open mind, which is why I wanted to join

your group. As a journalist, I think it's important to learn all I

can -- from all sides, presenting both the science and what

mainstream medicine dubs anecdotal. Whatever and for whomever I

ultimately write (I'll let you know when I've firmed that up), I will

present personal accounts of both positive and ill effects.>>

I'm very glad you are going into this with an open mind. With all the

information from this list alone, you could write volumes. From reading this

list, you will find out there are many side affects that might not come into

play for many years.

I'm one of the lucky mothers, in that I did not have to suffer the heartache

of losing a child. On the other hand there are hundreds of thousands of

parents out there fighting Autism everyday and, many of them blame vaccines.

I do not envy you taking on this task. There is a society of affected people

out there that does not have a voice. The few that do seem to somehow get

shut down at some point.

Regards,

WELCOME Suzanne! :)

I'm waiting for the weather to get nicer here in Michigan so I can start

walking again too but until that happens I just pop in a video - Gilad - and do

what I can do with him. I sometimes have to just walk in place because I'm tired

but when the tape is over I feel very, very, good about what I just did. :)

Once you start exercising on a regular basis you find yourself wanting exercise

more and more.

Best of luck to you !

forward to recieving support and advise here and hope to contribute as well.

Welcome, Suzanne,

(Gee, another " Sue " )

> I'm one of those " quiet newbies " :)-- thought I'd say introduce myself.

Pleased to meet you. After spending the day with a bunch of little ones I

can see *why* you're so quiet the rest of the day. LOL

>I have a little over 100 pounds to lose

Another kindred soul.

>I don't excersise (shame on me!)

You may find the videos a bit too confusing for a newbie to exercising. If

you like to dance, though, they may be OK. If not, I suggest you check the

stores or even your library for one of 's older tapes, maybe Sweatin'

to the Oldies, the original, or Silver Foxes, his first tape for seniors

(I've been doing this one since I was in my early 30's). Both of these have

slower, easy to follow moves.

> although I do walk when the weather permits it.

Another walker. Sue R has done half marathons, and some of us have

treadmills. Are you a " quiet " walker or do you like to listen to something?

I made up a few audio tapes using music *I* like and at *my* speed to help

me keep up the pace. My Disney music tape is my favorite.

>> I look forward to recieving support

You'll get a lot of that around here. We'll even cajole and lash you with

wet noodles if you need it, too. :)

Hi JC

Thanks for the reply.

As far as your questions go about the RAF the more courses you can get before

you enter the RAF the better really. As for courses whilst in The RAF, these

are as many as you can get hold of. The RAF pay for them as well: -

ECG Recordist.

Flight Nursing Attendant. (Aeromedical Evacuation).

Decompression Operator.

Paramedical training......this depends on which camp you go to and what type

of Doctors and Superiors you have as this is usually arranged with civilian

hospitals. I started my EMT course with borough District Hospital but

did not complete it due to posting overseas.

Really the list is endless. If you show that you are keen on further training

you can go as far as you want.

Hope this answers your questions. If you need any further info do not

hesitate to contact me again.
