Re: Shaken Baby Syndrome INVOLVEMENT

I think the shaken baby issue is a good issue to focus on. There's always

a high amount of public interest in wrongful convictions. But I think we

should be clear what we hope to accomplish. All of which are major

undertakings.

Are we to be a clearing house of information for lawyers and their

clients? There may be law firms that have been involved in these cases

that would be better equiped to advise. It's also difficult sometimes to

get involved in a case. The lawyers call the shots, and may not think a

vaccine defense is best. The clients usually defer to them.

Maybe the best we can do is public relations. We gather cases and show

the common patterns. We draft press releases and articles to go along

with the documented cases. Hopefully, the light of media attention will

cause prosecutors and their shadows (hospitals, drug cos., and doctors)

to stop these wrongful prosecutions. At that point, we may be able to get

legislatures to prohibit prosecutions where the only evidence is one of

the triad of symptoms identified with S.B. And then maybe this will help

convictions on appeal, though I'm pessimistic about that.

Hello and All,

The epidemic of S. B (and MSbP, child abuse accusations, etc.), could be

tackled from the bottom up. The top down approach is quicker, but, less

permanent, it seems to me. If Congress would investigate and recommend

changes in the way S. B cases are prosecuted, the public has learned

nothing. They wake up one day and discover that they don't always have to

go to jail if their babies die inexplicably. I for one, would be far more

relieved to know that my fellow citizens have finally figured out that

scientists and prosecutors are fallible, and take it upon themselves to

keep a watchful eye out for excesses of prosecutorial zeal and " science "

that has run amok.

Unfortunately, my initial experience with informing friends and neighbors

about these things, has been a complete flop, especially with those who

think themselves well informed and aware. Makes you wonder, doesn't it.

I have really been thinking a lot about this lately, and I have begun to

think about compiling info, etc. and when I hear about shaken baby cases

sending the info to the attorneys. I'm still relatively new to all this and

don't quite know what to do, but it is something I would eventually like to

become involved with. I think it is important. While I am sure there are

actual shaken baby cases out there, I really believe that too many people are

being wrongly accused of murdering their children, and I couldn't imagine

anything worse. I would love to help out on a task force.

Great Teri!

I have no idea where we could go with this but I am a firm believer in

going forward! That's how I've done everything else in my life and the

picture emerges as I'm going forward. I don't really work effectively by

trying to figure out all the 'what ifs' - I just start moving forward.

I think first it would be to collect names of persons accused and get their

addresses or lawyers address and send them the articles with the

information that shows this is a possibility here.

Let's just start doing that. Each person do searches in your local

newspapers to find these cases. And then send (or I can send) Viera

Scheibner's Nexus article, Harold Buttram, MD's webpage article on Baby

Alan Yurko and accused dad and I should be able to find a few more from

Maureen Hickman in Australia. Send me the names & addresses and we'll

start sending the info.

Its a start. As we get more information (and also many of us meet in

September at the NVIC conference) we can see who wants to be involved.

First, its just a matter of getting the information to them to do with as

they please. We are starting to compile names of expert witnesses and

others are coming forward. As more become involved we can provide that

information. But it is important just to inform the world & accused &

lawyers that vaccines may be involved.

Hello Sheri and All,

Yeah, finally found one this am. The baby had been vaxed for Hep B two weeks

before the shaking incident. The baby had been sickly from birth. Neighbors

said that baby was crying all the time. The wife says her husband was a GOOD

father and loved his sons. He had quit drinking 7 years ago, but was on a

prozac like drug. He took the kids to church alone if his wife was unable to

attend. His wife said he was a " helpful " kind of person. If anyone needed

help, they could count on him. He would give you the shirt off his back if you

really needed it. He wasn't into recreational drugs. He said he shook the baby

gently to get it to stop crying. He couldn't believe that such a mild shaking

could cause death. He goes on trial for first degree murder on Sept. 19. He

has a court appointed defender. The county attorney says he wants to make an

example of the case, to make sure it doesn't happen again.
