Guest guest
Hello! A friend told me about this forum after talking to her about my thyroid tests. I´ve had CFS for 10 years now and she told me that many times it goes hand to hand with a thyroid problem. I had thyroid tests done and they came out ok, except for the antibodies for anti tiroglobuline. They were very high. The doctor told me there was nothing to worry about, she said that it only indicated that i could have a thyroid problem in the future. My friend told me that measuring T3 reverse was important. My TSH, T4, free T4, T3 and free T3 are ok. I wanted to ask if it is important to measure reverse T3 and if i could maybe have a thyroid problem even if all these previous markers are between the limits. I´ve had CFS for many years but I´ve always felt my CFS is different, it´s not so severe, I can exercise and I don´t have Post exertional malaise... Symptoms that other people seem to always have. Since I have CFS i have lost 20 pounds and can´t gain a pund no matter how much i eat. I was hoping maybe i had a thyroid problem. I would very much apreciate any suggestions or advice. Thank you very much!
