levothyroxine and effect on periods

Hi all

First of all I wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Does anybody know if taking levothyroxine can effect a woman's periods. My

Daughter has been taking levothyroxine since March and has not had a period for

4 months now. She is 25 years old and previous to starting levothyroxine had

very bad heavy almost constant periods. She is currently taking 75mg of

levothyroxine.

Any advice, input or info would be greatly appreciated.
