Guest guest
I have spoken to someone recently who is only 21. He has had a number of very stressful years and most recently has gained over 3 stone in weight, his glands are often swollen in his neck, is very lethargic. Says his head feels like it is full of cotton wool. Is very poor at completing tasks and is always exhausted and feels ill.. Most recently as well as frequent sore throats and looking like he has mumps, he is also suffering recurring cysts in one of his testes.I know that fibrocystic breasts can occur with thyroid problems or iodine deficiency, however was not sure if the male equivalent affected testes? Also with the weight gain he has developed Man boobs... which may simply reflect the high level of obesity. I have suggested that when he sees his Dr tomorrow he asks for the standard list of blood tests which you suggest here, I wondered if you knowledgeable folk might be able to make any further suggestions to help him. He has been tested for Glandular fever and this has come back negative. A recent ultrascan did not detect any abnormalities in the testicle either. ThanksTracey TPA is not medically qualified.
