I think something is unbalanced here but duno what. I've been at this since

January started increasing in may since then I've gone from 125-175 very slowly.

I'm defo not hyper but I've not noticed a huge improvement.  My diegestion slows

right Down too and I feel so bloated & yuk. My periods never used to effect me

like this.

During ovulation & my period I'm a mess, exhausted, I ache, feel so low and

anxious, it starts to life then it's ovulation & periods again!! Why is this not

getting better yet? It's so exhausting I wish I could stop my periods all

together. Also my legs become unbearably itchy.

Ferrittin in sept was 87 (7-159)

Latest bloods T4 19 10-25

Hello Lele

It could be that you are not converting the mainly inactive

thyroxine (T4) to the active thyroid hormone T3. You may need to start taking

some form of T3 (Liothyronine/Cytomel) in combination with your T4, T3 alone,

or natural thyroid extract that contains T4, T3, T2, T1 plus calcitonin. There

is a large minority of sufferers unable to convert T4 into T3. Your level of

free T4 of 19 could be an indication that it is not converting to T3, but we

need to know what your free T3 level is. Your doctor needs to requests a

full thyroid function test to include TSH, free T4, free T3 and have you ever

been tested to see if you have antibodies to your thyroid. The tests you need

for these are TPO and TgAb. If you have thyroid antibodies, you are suffering

with Hashimoto's disease, which is a cause of hypothyroidism. Most sufferers of

Hashimoto's need to be on a gluten free diet as antibodies thrive on gluten.

You can buy or borrow the book by Dr Datis Kharrazian called 'Why do I still

Have Symptoms when my Lab Tests are Normal " to learn all about this.

Bloating stomach, feeling 'yuk', slowing down of your digestive will improve

almost immediately on a no gluten diet.

Your ferritin level is fine - though it would be good to know

your levels of iron, transferrin saturation, vitamin B12, vitamin D3,

magnesium, folate, copper and zinc. Ask for these to be tested and when you get

the results, post them here together with the reference range for each test

done and we will help with their interpretation.

Hi Lele,

I have the same problem and found that taking Agnus Castus drops makes a massive

positive difference re: ovulation and PMT. I take 2-3x 25 drops in a little

water.

I eat gluten free as I'm intolerant, have been eating like this for 10+ years

but still get the bloating sometimes. Taking a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda

in 1.5dl of water first thing in the morning helps with this. I take it for a

month then rest for a week or two. For me Candida causes the bloating and

that's a tough cookie to deal with...

I hope this helps...

Happy New Year!
