Guest guest
Firstly I must thank all of you for pointing me towards further blood tests, even though its looks as if my thyroid is perfectly healthy, these blood tests are pointing towards other problems. Without your input I would never have asked for these and would have been on anti-depressants and a regular diet of scorn for the rest of my life. Here goes. Serum Iron 13 (11 - 29) Serum TIBC 50 (49 - 70) Serum Ferritin 256 (14 - 180) Transferrin Saturation 26% TSH 1.92 (0.25 - 5.0) No antibodies or evidence of primary dysfunction detected. From my quick yomp around google, it looks as if I will need to have at least a half a pint of blood drawn every few weeks to get the transferrin down, but what will that do to my iron levels which are already low? The labs don't do the other tests ie. copper etc. Your input will be gladly received.
