Guest guest
Hey , I am like you, I don't post much, but I have to tell you.......BE BOLD. Jump right in there and make yourself known..LOL My Chiropractor uses a "pain pen" as you call it, on me. I hate it! I call it the zapper. They do work. I for one am not buying one, I can't stand that initial zap...... If I may ask, why are you just drinking? Are you considering surgery? Not a candidate for surgery? I am just wondering. J.C. Seasons greetings A short message to say I hope you all have a very happy and peaaceful Christmas and a healthy and pain free new year. I don't write in very often as I find people don't tend to reply as theres a little group of you in regular contact and I'm unable to join in debates about that drug you are all trying as I am too ill and my Dr said "no " when I asked him about it ! Last time I wrote in I asked if any of you had heard of the pain gone pen? Its not a tens machine ....... works well for most types of pain . Website address in my last message. Anyway hope you all have an enjoyable time and I hope you are able to eat things you would like too .............. I can only drink at the moment so no "treats or festive goodies" for me. Guest guest
Hi I'm sorry that you're so ill right now...hope maybe some eggnog can make it down the hatch! The pain pen sounds interesting...does it work for your spasms? If so, how? Where do you put it? I hope that there is something that can be done for you to make your more comfortable and to make eating possible for you again. Can you eat creamy soups and stuff, or just clear brothy type soups? I'll put you in my prayers tonight! Tell us more about your life!

Guest guest
Thanks for your message. I have found the pain pen quite good esp. as I have other health problems which also cause pain. I am in a bit of a mess at the moment as far as my digestive system is concerned because whilst they have definatly diagnosed "A" the whole of my digestive system motility is gradually giving up and things just don't move down as nature had designed things to work. I've had 2 lots of Bot Tox with little/ no effect and now I am possibly going to need to have bit of surgery due to the more complex bowel problems. I have been really unwell with it all and even my nutritional drinks aren't that well tolerated. Guest guest
Hi , I'm in Plymouth Devon. Where are you? Feeling really fed up with it all at the moment as my last OPD wasn't that positive and the whole of my digestive system is on a go slow to the point its almost given up so it looks like a lot of surgery is needed potentially if it stays like this and none of the drugs help ... by surgery I don';t mean for the "A" bit but for the rest of my digestive system as its all become a bit too lazy or on strike even. Keep in touch Merry Christmas Seasons greetings A short message to say I hope you all have a very happy and peaaceful Christmas and a healthy and pain free new year. Guest guest
Thanks , Yes, things aren't too bright at present . My whole digestive system is giving up with some sort of dysmotitlity problem besides the "A" ... looking at possible surgery in 2002 for the other bits as it seems now that this is causing more trouble than the actual "A" bit .............although "A" is a definite problem and correctly diagnosed etc..etc.etc. The pain gone pen is a good find for me .. might as everything else not suit everybody!! Look at www.paingone.com Contraindications to use are in early pregnancy ( 1st 16 weeks) , pacemakers, near eyes on wet skin, close to oxygen or over implanted metal parts. It works similar to a TENS machine but you can use it any time anywhere without wires , batteries etc.etc. Its OK for chronic , acute or minor pain ...... it works on transcutaneous nerve stimulation ........ stimulating endorphins ( natural pain relief in your body) . You can even use it through ligt clothing . I have always found my TENs machine great but not for "A" because I found it wasn;t any good having electrodes so near chest area etc. etc. as this is NOT recommneded for TENS ........ anyway with paingone you can use it anywhere on the body as long as you look at contraindications lists . Its small and so can go in your pocket/handbag etc. Costs around £40.00 As another posting says it does feel odd but you place the pen over the area and click the pen 30/40 times !! that is 1 dose and if its not enough you can use it again as soon as you want/need to . For some types of pain eg. menstrual etc. one dose worked and no pain killers needed !! For "A" pain I use it at any time I feel the discomfort starting to return ratehr than letting the pain develop into a really bad time . Hope this makes sense .. Feel free to ask me anything else. As for the soup it has to be lump free and I find I don't tolerate too much carbohydrate etc. so only a tiny bit of potato etc. and as bland as possible because any spices etc. cause havoc........... mainly I have nutritional drinks such as enlive and fortijuice , buildup , complan and nutriplus. I take a nutritional perscription only concoction as well which tastes disgusting but prevents malnutrition !! Thanks for your prayers . Bye for now Re: Seasons greetings Hi I'm sorry that you're so ill right now...hope maybe some eggnog canmake it down the hatch! The pain pen sounds interesting...does it workfor your spasms? Guest guest
Do they think the other problems in your digestive tract are in any way related to the achalasia? What do they think has happened to you to cause all of this? Bless your heart.
