Guest guest
Well if the idiot who is supposed to be responsible for my grandaughter refuses to treat what clearly is hypothyroid the GMC are going to be on recieving end of another complaint It seems to me that Cof P have a stranglehold on both the GMC and all Endos .........because no matter what evidence or argument is put in front of them they have an answer and its sure not in the interest of the patients Whats even worse is they do not even know the difference that familial CENTRAL Hypothyroid makes and why TSH must never be relied on . Anyone got any reserach on Central Hypothyroid please because even Thyroid Manager does not mention it and theres virtually nothing about it or children with Hypo on Google Scholar I desperately need a copy of Dr Skinners hearing too Pat
Guest guest
The problem with " clearly hypothyroid " is that it is not so clear. The diagnostics used in such cases primarily address the thyroid gland and secondarily may suggest pituitary issues. The lack of clarity is created by deficiencies post thyroid physiology, which includes all of that physiology's supporting hormones, other supporting chemistry, and damaging toxins. But no only are what tests are available for post thyroid physiology are not recognized, few tests really exist for patient care. Although one can test for T3, that still leaves two functions to deal with, hormone reception and the use of T3 inside of the cells, the nuclei and the mitochondria. The best tests for these are metabolic tests such as basal metabolic rate, resting metabolic rate, and potentially basal temperature. But none of these are recognized by the endocrinology establishment. Additionally, as the post thyroid realm becomes more and more deficient, then the relevance of the thyroid gland and TSH becomes less and less relevant. Because they are more and more cut off from the symptom producing cells. But TSH is the gold standard assay.....
