Guest guest
Mandi, I just googled 'vitamin e protocol autism', and it seems like there is a protocol - but I can't get onto the website! There also seems to be a lot of information about vitamin e and improvements in epilepsy.  I don't know what it is, do you have a link?  Mandi x  In a message dated 11/12/2010 21:01:21 GMT Standard Time, jane_hogan@... writes:  I'd be really interested to hear experiences of using the vit e protocol. Has anyone had improvements or side effects? Guest guest
Just responding to the Vitamin E. Some Vitamin E is based on soy which affects the thyroid so look for supplements without this. I suspect that a lot of the bad press on Vitamin E is NOT because Vit E is itself bad but because the authors have unwittingly (or purposely) used soy based supplements.Subject: Re: Re:vitamin ETo: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Date: Sunday, 12 December, 2010, 1:00 This was one child, who apparently turned out to have another issue other than the use of Speak, which has been consistently bad mouthed by since she left the company. Guest guest
- ' son (co-author of this) was v. allergic to soy and was the main proponent of Vit E on the childrensapraxia group also i think she was one of the main scientific advisor's to the co. that developed the Speak supplement so the group were certainly aware of the Soy/E issue. As far as I recall it was quite a few more than 1 child adversely affected but I suppose that goes for any supplement - just wanted to flag up that it is a risk to be weighed when considering. I think the original amounts of Vitamin E in Speak per day amounted to well over 800iu but I haven't checked and maybe they have changed it since in response to that unofficial trial with childrensapraxia group members.
