Hi Tracey, if this young man has access to a computer, I would

ask him to join our Forum and introduce himself in the hope that we can help

him. It is difficult to help anybody third hand as we would need to ask many

questions. Give him this link thyroid treatment

..

If he does not have access to a computer, is he willing to work

through you and are you willing to glean the information we would need from him

and pass on the information he would need?

Luv - Sheila

I have spoken to someone recently who is only 21. He has had a number of

very stressful years and most recently has gained over 3 stone in weight, his

glands are often swollen in his neck, is very lethargic. Says his head feels

like it is full of cotton wool. Is very poor at completing tasks and is always

exhausted and feels ill..

Hi Tracey

Get him to do to the hertoghe questionnaire in the files:

thyroid treatment/files/MEDICAL%20QUES\

TIONNAIRES/

I would ask for testosterone, shbg, lh, fsh, thyroid (free t4, free t3, tsh),

dhea, 9am cortisol with CBG if they'll do it, the usual thyroid antibody tests

> Most recently as well as frequent sore throats and looking like he has

> mumps, he is also suffering recurring cysts in one of his testes.

what are these cysts? varicocele? hydrocele? or 'cysts'? in what way are they

recurring? does he have them removed or do they come and go?

has he been tested for hashimoto's?

> tested for Glandular fever and this has come back negative. A recent

> ultrascan did not detect any abnormalities in the testicle either.

what was the diagnosis for his testicular problems?

has he tried fish oils like vegepa?

Dear ChrisThanks for the advice.. He has been to Doctors today and they think he has a low grade infection... however did to a lot of blood tests. Will get him to do the questionnaire

what are these cysts? varicocele? hydrocele? or 'cysts'? in what way are they recurring? does he have them removed or do they come and go?- Two cysts in early December which burst and healed.. but another two have developed

has he been tested for hashimoto's? He has had no testing other than basic blood tests which showed a low grade blood infection.

> tested for Glandular fever and this has come back negative. A recent

> ultrascan did not detect any abnormalities in the testicle either.

what was the diagnosis for his testicular problems? They conclude that there was no problem.

has he tried fish oils like vegepa? I have been thinking of fish oils and also got him to start salt loading with himalayan mountain salt and the very puffy neck and face have reduced within a couple of days.

Many thanksTracey

Just to add Glandular Fever tests don't always come back positive until it is virtually going - it took 4 months for my Glandular Fever to actually show in a blood test.Dawn M x From: Tracey Clewer <thelifechangers@...> thyroid treatment Sent: Friday, 30 December 2011, 17:17 Subject: Re: Re: Help with young Man- weight gain, confused, lethargic, recurring testicular cysts- highly stressed and feeling sick

Blood tests back.. Doctors only say low in Zinc!! I have suggested he gets the full test results sent to him.. So that a fuller review can be done... Will get ionic zinc for him.. and look for more zinc rich foods... Is zinc deficiency a precursor for any thyroid linked problems?

Many thanksTracey

Most definitely, most hypothyroid sufferers are low in zinc, and

it is often recommended that all those diagnosed should start taking 15mgs zinc

together with 200mcgs Selenium.
