Guest guest
Hi all, I am wondering if any of you lovely people have "normal" hair despite having a low body temperature? What do I mean by normal hair? Hair that is in fairly good condition, not brittle or breaking, not shedding and easy to get a brush through.I am curious as to whether it is possible to have nice hair when there is a 1-2 degree temperature deficit. I have been at this Hypo lark for 11 arduous years. In all that time my hair has never improved and I feel the obvious reason for that is that I am still symptomatic.I am doing everything I can to beat this darn disease, but my body temperature never rises to normal levels. I think Dr Peatfield wrote in his book that one should not be surprised if once treated optimally the body temp does not return to normal. That it may always run a bit low.Dr (proponent of 's Syndrome)thinks healthy hair cannot be grown without stable body temperature. Any comments? Has anyone out there got decent hair despite running on low temps/or have any ideas to raise body temperature? My body temp actually increases when I come OFF thyroid hormone!!! I am currently on T3/Acella.I treated adrenals with low dose H/C for 4years and that did not help increase it either! Regards Peary
