Guest guest
I expect you could find a suitable dentist through the British Society for Mercury Free Dentistry: http://mercuryfreedentistry.org.uk/ Miriam > > I live in the Aldershot/Farnham area, and as one cannot mention the names of Health Professionals on this forum, can you contact me privately, if you know of a Dentist who can remove mercury fillings safely, and also crown this tooth. > Kathleen >

Guest guest
HI Have just been looking at the link from Miriam, and have noted the two in Farnham, and have also noted one in Effingham where I was born. I am a bit concerned about my NHS dentist not taking adequate protection against Mercury causing me more problems. I am already having problems with the waterworks and swollen ankles and feet, so for mercury to get into my kidneys is not going to help one little bit. If they use Adrenaline in the anaesthetic in turn it will cause a rise in BP and I would say more swelling. At the moment my common sense points me to cancelling the appointment on the 9TH, and in turn if they cannot offer protection against damaging me further with mercury I would be within my rights to go somewhere that can. Will give them a call tomorrow to see how much it will cost. My present Dentist was going to put a gold (not real gold) crown on, but could whatever these gold crowns have in them cause any further problems. Many thanks From Kathleen > > > > Hi Kathleen, > > This is my own holistic dentist; right in your neighbourhood - Gareth > and Emma are both excellent, albeit expensive. > > http://www.holisticdentalcentre.co.uk/ > <http://www.holisticdentalcentre.co.uk/> > > Best wishes, > > >
Guest guest
roberts in huddersfield can, i had mine removed by him about 10 of them. He followed the correct procudure ect and he was even at the TPA meeting in skipton. http://www.holistic-dentistry.com/ Steve > > HI ALL > I have an appointment with my Dentist on 9TH Jan to have a tooth crowned.I am not too happy that the mercury filling is going to be removed in the correct manner, and to make things worse the specialist I went to see concerning this tooth as my feelings were that it would be safer to remove the tooth. Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, When I was considering this I was told that i should not have gold crowns if I had any amalgams at all in my mouth or it would cause more leaching of the mercury. Also the crown needs to be not metal lined. I think at the time the only ones the NHS did were metal lined at these were cheaper. Val My present Dentist was going to put a gold (not real gold) crown on, but could whatever these gold crowns have in them cause any further problems. Many thanksFrom Kathleen
Guest guest
HI VAL My old crowns are white and they have lasted a long time. I am also concerned as to what these gold crowns are made of and the effect that they will have. If say I was allergic to the metals, and my feelings are that some sort of test should be done first, as ones mouth is I would say the most sensitive area. I also have to look at the harm done to women with these faulty breast implants from France. The French are paying the cost for their women to have them removed, but UK women are going to have to pay. So if there are problems with this crown, are the NHS going to foot the bill or am I. In this respect I might just as well pay privately and get it done safely in the first place. Apart from this I have to climb upstairs to my present Dentist which can be a problem when ones hips are playing up. I also feel sorry for women struggling with getting their prams/pushchairs upstairs. I also have other health problems at the moment so it may not be the best thing to go ahead with it at the moment, which will give me time to save up for private care.
