Guest guest
Have you ever done a stool test to check for bad bacteria? have you found probiotics, such as the following to help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saccharomyces_boulardii#Irritable_bowel_syndrome --- Optibac make a probiotic with this bacteria in. I believe there has been some research regarding this bacteria and IBS. If you do decide to take anything, then run it past your doctor first of course...... chris > > > Thank you everyone for your thoughts and comments. > > I found I have to follow a gluten, dairy, nut and low sucrose diet if I'm to avoid painful cramps and urgent diarrhoea. Guest guest
Hi - the problem with gluten is it's used in just about everything processed including some vitamins and minerals and it isn't always called 'gluten' on labels. I was ill some 27 years ago and found I was intolerant to gluten and dairy. I eliminated them and got so much better.Nowadays I'd say about 98% of my (hypnotherapy) clients who come with depression and anxiety are gluten intolerant . Those who go gluten free get SO much better. Just Google gluten and almost any symptom you want and you'll find lots of information. Of course it's not just gluten that causes these problems, there could be any number of other ingredients causing gut pain and 'dire rear' but most people do eat gluten (hidden or otherwise) about three times each day which can cause inflammation in the gut making it difficult to digest anything. It's worth finding a good food intolerance practitioner to test you as it's no fun having a poorly gut and you have my 100% sympathy.Jackie x I also take a number of vitamin and mineral supplements. I cant take some because of the gut pains and diarrhoea they cause.
Guest guest
I had a couple done a number of years ago. I had blastocystis, and lots of yeast. I used to have bacterial overgrowth of the small intestine but i belive that cleared with antibiotics and herbal preparations along with diet.
