Guest guest
I have recently started taking effra throid and taken 30mg for 7 days with no problems then increased the dose to 60mg on the second day i have been having episodes of feeling lite headed and dizzy. i have a low bp and wondered if the effra caused hypotension. i am also taking dhea 25mg and berrocca. i had also taken fluconazole for candida the day before. can anyone suggest whether they have had a problem with effra causing these symptoms thank you elaine coleman
Guest guest
Hello Elaine Cut back your Erfa dose to 30mgs daily for a little while. You could have started taking too many different supplements all at once and your body is letting you know. Do you have any results for iron, transferrin saturation, ferritin of vitamin B12. If not, ask your doctor to test these and also magnesium, folate, copper and zinc. If any of these are low in the range, no amount of thyroid hormone can get into the cells until whatever is low in the range has been supplemented. When you get these results, post them on the forum together with the reference range for each test done so we can help with their interpretation. Guest guest
You have possibly increased too quickly. Dr Jacque Hertoghe recommends going up by 15mg , not 30mg at a time. I think it's in this video: There's also this information in here on how to dose NDT: thyroid treatment/files/ALL%20NATURAL%\ 20DESICCATED%20THYROID%20INFO./ Flucanazole can weaken the adrenals - http://pmj.bmj.com/content/82/971/e23.abstract so, could be you increased too much too soon and then by taking fluconazole the problems were exacerbated as the adrenals had less ability to respond.
