Soaps that have already been dyed white? (like lever 2000 or something) I'm not sure how you can do it that way if you can at all but i know that if your shavings are transparent glycerin, then all you have to do is melt it, add essential oils and other things if you want, and then pour them into your molds..hope this helps ) -- Sat Nam, Miyu Espiritu - http://www.wsu.edu/~miyu Coven of Avalon - http://home.earthlink.net/~miyu79
Guest guest
i would suggest asking friends for the name of a good stylist and go in and pay whatever it takes to get you straightened out and then let her do it from now on. You deserve to have a professional take care of your hair care needs, they are trained to know how to work with and correct color. Also the color available to professionals is much more gentle that what yoou will buy in the store. katherine Nina Florian <sugar_cutie01@...> wrote: Her everyone! My hair is naturally very light brown with gold and blonde highlights and I accidently dyed it red, so I went to Sally's and got some hair color that took out the red and left it a very dark brown with a hint of red, and I hate it. I am hoping to go to the color I had before and then put highlights in it. What would you all suggest? I'd appreciate any help! Guest guest
i know what you'd probably need to have done, but because the actual cost tends to vary depending on where you live, i can't really give too much as far as price. your best bet would be to go to a salon and have them double-process your hair (they'll lighten it to take out all the dark brown and red, and then dye it back to light brown). they may or may not decide to do highlights that day, or they may have you wait a bit. it sounds drastic, but it's about the only way to guarantee that you get back to what you know you like. because it is a pretty involved prcess, it's really unlikely that it'll be cheap. and this is definitely something you need to have a professional take care of. hope that helped a little. Guest guest
Hi Rita It is so good to see that you are still of good sprit. (DH) lost his hair right away but when it came back it was better than ever. Really nice and soft and thick. I always joke with him that at least he got a good head of hair out of 6 mos. of kemo. You will do fine I just know it. Guest guest
Hi Rita, I'm just getting to my email so you probably already know this but your head is not the only place you will not have hair. Believe me I know from experience. But after chemo it all grows back. Oh well it's fun not shaving for a while anyhow. Wonder if the docs will be surprised at all the hickeys, lipstick prints, and notes written all over my belly??? LOL, I know they will wash (and CUT) it off, but the look on their faces would be priceless!! Last time it was " Go Giants " ........ Gotta beat that one!!! Guest guest
LOL, I have made it my goal to make them blush at every meeting and visit! From the moment I told the nurse in the OR as I looked up " nice boobs " to telling the anesthisiologist " puff, puff, blow blow, but I ain't gonna swallow! " (blame the drugs - NOW ya see why I hate VERSED? I didn't even HAVE it and I was already ornery!!) and taping " Go Giants " across my tummy before I went into the OR, my first words after surgery being " wanna have sex with me? " to Ray (and the staff knows we DID in the hospital), to the striptease, those poor docs never know whats coming next or when and hiow I am gonna get them but I always do! And I love it, I love life! I am enjoying Life! Maybe not quietly and modestly, but I have never been the shy type!!! This just made me MORE outgoing and silly! LOL, I do have that striptease on a floppy at home! It was fun! Guest guest
, My hair is chronically dry and just won't grow since I got CFIDS. It literally won't grow past my slightly below my chin, even if I don't cut it for long periods of time. Here are things I have found to help with the dryness: -- Brushing daily with a natural bristle (boar's hair) brush. This really does help distribute the hair oils. -- Using Thom's unscented shampoo for dry hair. -- There is a great hair treatment I tried recently, but I have only done it once. You mash 1/2 an avocado (or more, if you have long hair) with 1/2-3/4 cups of natural mayonaise -- yes, mayo. Mix them together really well, then work through dry hair. Put a plastic bag over your head, and a warm towel, then leave it on for at least 20 minutes and wash out. -- Not washing it every day also seems to help, but then my scalp gets oily. An acupuncturist told me hair in Traditional Chinese Medicine is influenced by the kidneys, and CFIDS is considered a kidney deficiency condition in TCM (the " kidneys, " in TCM, are the central organ, and not what we consider the actual organ, although kidney conditions in TCM typically involve the adrenals). Guest guest
, One of the reasons we have dry hair is low DHEA.It is very possible that your DHEA levels have gone down. Thanks Nil hair > > Lately my hair is really dry,I had It trimmed yesterday, and the lady said it has gotten worse What causes this? Guest guest
My hair was very dry also and didn't grow much. I finally found a solution that really works. Infusiom leave in conditioner, especially on the ends. After using it for a few months my hair finally looks great again.
