Guest guest
The Telegraph 21 August 2001, New Delhi. AIDS cure claim before HC MUMBAI (PTI): A doctor, claiming to possess a cure for AIDS in alternative medicine, has sought a direction from Bombay High Court (HC) to the Union government to get his drugs tested by scientists and experts in the field. A direction of this nature was sought as the high court had last year restrained individuals or organisations from proclaiming that they had a cure for AIDS. Dr. Natwar Manilal Doshi, has also sought a direction to the government to create proper infrastructure such as a hospital or an " ashram " under his guidance for treatment of patients. The petition will come up for hearing next week. Among the respondents are the Union ministries of home and health, the drug controller of India, the National Aids Control Organisation and the Maharashtra State Aids Control Society. _________________________________________________________ Dr. Jagdish Harsh Assistant Director François-Xavier Bagnoud (INDIA) 161, Satya Niketan, Moti Bagh-II New Delhi-110 021, INDIA Phone: +91.11.611 1793-94; Fax: +91.11.410 7381 E-mail: jamworld@... ; http://www.fxb.org/india.htm _________________________________________________________
