Other than mercury thermometers I can't find one that is consistent or reliable. Seems like the digitals are junkie. Any suggestions? No one's mentioned keeping track of my temp. ~~UC 12/09 SCD 1/10ldn 9/29/11On Dec 28, 2011, at 9:33 PM, "ladybugsandbees" <ladybugsandbees@...> wrote:

It is more than likely related to your adrenals being stressed. When dealing with thyroid conditions you need to also consider adrenals as they work in tandem. This is a great website to work with http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-temperature-graph

why is it that every time i attempt to begin taking iodoral (even as little as a quarter of a tablet), my basal temperature in the morning drops. that says to me that it is making me more hypothyroid, no? it drops from 97.2 to as low as 96.5 sometimes. thanks, barry

Hi ,

I have never found a digital thermometer that is consistent. I only use mercury thermometers because of this fact. They are usually available from pet supply stores.

I have used this kind http://www.amazon.com/Fairhaven-Health-Non-mercury-Glass-Thermometer/dp/B000KIOB98/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8 & qid=1325156372 & sr=8-3

We do not discuss taking temps because it doesn't have anything to do with iodine. It is a thyroid / adrenal issue and not required when using iodine. I suggested it as a method by which he could determine why his temps went down with iodine.

Oh great tip! I didn't think they sold them any more. I'll be heading to the store today. ~~On Dec 29, 2011, at 12:26 AM, "Kathleen Blake" <kathleenblake@...> wrote:

I know you try so hard to keep the info strictly to iodine but some of the other info is so important to health too. It seems like if the group is using iodine they're trying to improve their health nonconventionally. Some of this other info may be pertinent. Or maybe I just like reading it all. ~~On Dec 29, 2011, at 5:01 AM, "ladybugsandbees" <ladybugsandbees@...> wrote:

For thyroid info, I recommend STTM site and group.
