Guest guest
I think exercise and stretching are crucial to dealing with CP. I do quad sets, straight leg raises, full arc extensions, short arc extensions, leg adduction and abduction, hamstring stretches and curls and prone hip extensions. I do all of these with ankle weights. If you need any explanation on hwo to perform these let me know.

Guest guest
Hello , I suggest he goes to the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital on the main road into North Pattaya, they are use to handling these type of problems. If no good then go to Bangkok - 2 hours by road and visit the Bumngrad Hospital - spelling not 100%, close to Soi 4 - Sukhumvit, this is the best hospital in Thailand, no exceptions and they will do all required checks. Guest guest
> " Why can't heavy people get health > insurance " . Any advice! This is a question that's been asked of larger sized people for many a year, and was one of the reason Marilyn Wann started her 'zine then her book Fat!So?, because she was denied health insurance solely based on her weight. She was in perfect health, hadn't needed a doctor in many years, but because she was 5'4 " (?) and 270 pounds she was deemed " uninsurable " and too high a risk. This topic is brought up frequently on various size acceptance lists, too, and here are a few suggestions: See if you can be covered by a family plan on your husband's insurance from his job. He should be able to gt the family plan and have all of you covered. Of course, if this is the plan that turned you down, there are other options. If you belong to any professional organizations or clubs, see if they have any group insurance plans you can join. It might even be worth it to *join* an organization for this option. Ask your doctor or hospital's billing sections for a referral - they take care of all size patients and can probably tell you which ones the heavier people are using. Once you get a list of companies you can call and find out what you need to know to enroll. Search around and see if you can find a company that will give you insurance without a physical. Lie about your weight if your insurance company sends you a form to fill in your own medical history. (This worked for one gal when she bought insurance from EHealth through insurance.com.) Check with the state insurance board or various local agencies for plans who would take you, and if your family income is low enough, would be at a lower cost. There won't be *much* coverage, but it's better than nothing. Pray you never get sick and do without. (No? Not a reliable option?) Go back to work part-time just for the benefits. Work the bare minimum to keep the insurance coverage. Of course, it's always cheaper if you can get into a group plan with an employer, but even those lately are costing a few hundred dollars co-pay (around $300 and up) a month. Individual plans are almost twice that, I recently read, and even at $800 a month insurers still don't want heavy folks. It's tough, but it *can* be done with a lot of blood, sweat, and many tears. Good luck!

Guest guest
Hi, I am new to this group and my name is , I do not know how you can find a holistic doctor in your area however about 4 years ago my husband and I changed our diets. We went from eating Beef and all meat to first none and then chicken, pork, and turkey. We don't eat beef though. We cut out all sugars especially high fructose corn syrup, and corn syrup, and we also wouldn't eat anything with hydrogenated oils and still do not. We did all this when we lived in NY and now we live in a small town in Southside virginia. We found natural food stores like whole foods, or trader joes places like that. If I have any advice do not stop all at once it will drive you nuts that was my experience start cutting things out a little at a time and if you have a craving eat something healthy or some fruit. Guest guest
Mike, to have to go through so much is unreal. I am glad you can at least continue to do this very important role of running this list. As to meds, of course I'm not a doctor, but I don't see any muscle relaxants on your list. When I have nerve generated spasms, the muscle relaxants knock down the spasms. Without them, the spasms pressure the nerves which just makes the cycle worse... Keep on plugging... Guest guest
, did you put the roach prufe down really thick? What we did is once we had puffed the powder making sure every surface was covered we stood in the middle of the room and just keep puffing the powder in to the air until the room was hazy. When I touch my walls I can feel the powder on them. Since we don't know if we all have the same type of "bug" or something totally different we are really just shooting in the dark hoping very hard we hit the target. I'm guessing but I think we used about 20 tablespoons of the powder per room. We put it inside all windows and doors. We put this stuff every....we are knee deep in it and it has worked for us. Wishing you luck. Rita Advice I left for eight days from my apartment. I sprayed it with bleach and then covered the floor with Roach Proof while leaving the dehumidifier on. You'd think it would make some difference, but the minute I walked in I got attacked so I quickly left. I figure I will spray bleach when I go back in before I remove the current Roach Proof and replace it with another batch. I am just really worried because my skin is looking SO much better since I have been a way. I don't want to go back to where I was. Any other suggestions on what to do? Guest guest
Super thick on the floors and in the cabinets. I was not able to get it on my walls though. I don't know if I got attacked from the floor or if some were just hanging out on my dehumidifer away from it. I basically walked out of my boyfriends car, it was raining, empty my dehumidier, came back and I had already three bites on my wrist. I can't tell if they were alreay on me and reacted to the change in humidity or if they were in the apartment. Either way, I want to make sure I cover all corners. Guest guest
I honestly could not have asked for a better person to go through this with. He has been very helpful. We have unfortunately had limited contact because I don't want to get his place crawling with them or pass this curse on. It just sucked because we went to a cabin for a while and went skiing and snowboarding. I went through large phases of time where I felt like this had never happened there. It was the best feeling in the world. I felt human again. Driving back here, I of course got really depressed. I hate my apartment right now and a lot of other stuff I have. I know though that I don¢t' really hate this stuff and my place, just the situation I am in. I am so glad I found this chat group. I seriously thought I was the only person in the world with this for a while. Every time I come on here when I am down, there is something to cheer me up like 's song or Myrtle¢s comment on her dream house that could be watered down daily. Because of this, I have so little pity for many people. They have no idea what we go through. While we try to get rid of this, displaying weird behavior because we can't tell people, and then battling the whole world in disbelief that this can happen to a person, we have to do what everyone else does in a normal life. I remember once Ray said this wouldn't have been so bad had someone just stepped in and done what needed to be done. I think actually a lot of people have said that. I have so much anger right now towards these stupid critters and the people who are suppose to help me. What is the point of health insurance when it does crap? All I can say at this point is I have found such a new desire to live my life. I want to be the best I can be. I just hope I can get there. I really hope we can all get there. I pray for all you guys just to let you know. I figure we need at least that on our side. Guest guest
Well that sucks! It would be so much easier to eradicate if it were just an enviromental infestation. Im in the same boat. I did mean what i said about Diatomaceous Earth. It works great for the environment and it is cheap. www.yardiac.com You can look up how it works. The bugs basically dont have a chance in hell. I have experienced it personally. I had a few scampering around on my scalp, and i poofed some in my hair, and i could feel them dying, and soon no more crawling. Very satisfying. > > > > > > From: Rita and Mike Carlson <m.r.carlson@ comcast.net> > > > Subject: Re: Advice > > > bird mites > > > Date: Friday, January 2, 2009, 12:43 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > , did you put the roach prufe down really thick?
