Guest guest
That's interesting . For those who are not doing well on thyroid hormone replacement, one of the problems could be that they have low iron, and with low iron, transferrin saturation%, ferritin, B12 etc. members are told that their thyroid hormone cannot be properly utilised at the cellular level until their iron levels have been brought up to where they should be in the reference range. I guess it might be that if you are taking sufficient iron, and your levels are rising, that the thyroid hormone you are now taking IS getting into the cells, and maybe too much, causing some symptoms of hyperthyroidism - and I guess one of the symptoms of hyPERT is that you felt like you " wanted to kill somebody " . Does anybody have something to offer on these lines? Luv - Sheila Hi all A quick question can iron make you hyper. As all my previous posts ive been struggling rather badly. Guest guest
Hi Sheila You have hit the nail right on the head Sheila that's exactly how I have felt I can't believe it, it's like I was ready to kill someone. J haven't taken my iron tablet for 3 days now and starting to feel tired so not to sure weather j should be taking it or not. I went for a blood test this morning for t3 t4 an ferritin to hopefully five me an idea of what ro do on my next steps and hopefully it should be more accurate as it's 5 weeks today I gave birth. I'm just not ro sure if I should Carry on with the iron for now, I have now started to write things Down in regards to my symptoms and how I feel so I can look back Instead of changing things around and not remembering what I did. z > That's interesting .
