Guest guest
Hi All, I have been in a dentist's chair a half a day and had a large molar extracted. I surely could google this however I am just wonky and this is even before taking the little pain pills waiting for me Can I apply 2% on a cotton pad at some point? Will it really sting? Im guessing so and how long should I wait before I try this? Or just gargle, well swish, I mean in a water dilute?. Really didn't want to take the amoxicillin, if I could skip it. Anyway, thank you in advance. Hannah
Guest guest
I, too have had extractions, some very painful. I did the prescription drugs for awhile, now I have discovered that a few drops of Lugol's kills the pain for me... I now use it daily after brushing before I go to bed. I just run the dropper over all of my teeth - especially at the gum line. My mouth feels healthier than is has in a long time. Guest guest
Don't know about Lugols in a tooth socket. I use Celtic sea salt in my cooking and every night I gargle with warm water and the Celtic salt - appears to stop any infections, sore gums etc. and mouth feels and tastes just great.Sandy
Guest guest
I am SO happy. I had a dentist install a crown some years ago. It has always ached and been a bit sore to use (is is my canine tooth). I also have a chip out of one lower front tooth that is sometimes sore. I cannot afford to get them fixed. So I use Lugol's 2% every night after I brush. I use 2 eyedroppers filled to do my entire mouth. The canine is still sensitive to pressure, but nothing else and the chipped portion of the lower tooth no longer give me any problems. Maybe the Celtic salt would do the same, but I think of iodine as a killer of food bacteria which are easily caught in the chipped tooth as well as between teeth (I have implants and since they are bridged, there is no easy way to floss.) Maybe this will be helpful to someone. I do not mind the taste and feel that at least while I am sleeping the iodine can do it's work. I gave a bottle of Lugol's to a friend who has a broken tooth and he says he is experiencing less pain since he has started putting it on his tooth. ly, I think that bacteria grow well in our mouths and the food many of us eat can easily get trapped providing a "meal" for the bacteria. I am also experimenting with DMSO and Iodine on my face. It is not soon enough for me to notice a big difference, but my complexion seems to be improving in just the last week since I started. Hurray for Iodine. Such a "simple fix" for so many things! Jess Mark wrote: Don't know about Lugols in a tooth socket.
