Guest guest
Can put some activated charcoal in some apple sauce and feed it to this 2 year old. This will help to detoxify the chemicals/metals and toxins out of this baby's system. Also here is a link to a clay that can be used in a bath to detoxify heavy metals as well. http--www.magneticclay.com-.url Would also suggest 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide baths to put more oxygen into her body, diluted of course. Hope this information helps and would like to know her first name to send some healing energy to her higher-self to use as it likes. Thanks, Gale ^i^ http://www.pintsize.com/awakenings/ Lead poisoning Hi. A friend of mine has a 2 year old baby that has been diagnosed with stage 3 lead poisoning. Stage 4 means she will become a vegetable or die. They tested her water pipes and nothing came up so they don't know how she got lead poisoning. The mother said she didn't get flu shots or any thing so i don't know either. If any body has any thoughts or suggestions on how she might have got it or any ways to treat it please pass it this way. Guest guest
- Hi Jay, You can buy a simple test kit over the internet for about $10 and test various household things to find out for sure where she got it. I personally think they should as it can be in about anything not just pipes and paint. It can be in the soil, pottery, mini blinds, bath tub, jewelery (did you know that it is in about 70% of all the inexpensive jewelery. child sucks or chews on it and they're in trouble), dust, food can seams, even candle wicks. Candles made with lead core wicks can release lead when burned. Important to find out where the source it. If it were my child and I had access (even if I didn't, I'd find a way) to have use of a hyberbaric chamber. Lead posioning can have permanent neurologic effect. Kids sure have a way of tugging at even the hardest of hearts. All the best to her. Gail -- In oxyplus , " Jay Ice " <guessice@m...> wrote: > Hi. Guest guest
Besides the pipes there is the possibility of lead based paints. If not in the house then possibly on the crib or play-pen. This source has been mostly wiped out. There is also cracked or chipped ceramic items the child might get ahold of. Good luck to the friend . Let us know how it goes. Guest guest
- Hi Donna, Well, Jay didn't really give us any details. She might very well be in a hospital. The norm is to call the posion control center and they will advise. Sometimes they have you make the child vomit (but it's at there educated evaluation) then transport to nearest hospital where they are often treated with gastric lavage, IV or oral antidote and treatment of symptoms. I don't know about chelation at a hospital, tho. But like I said, if I had access to a hyberabic chamber that would be my personal treatment. Sometimes complete recovery can take months to years, if going with allopathy. Your friends should use the same guidelines given here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/Andy_dose_sched.html It is VERY important to use DMSA every 4 hours, even though it sounds bizarre and insane. This will actually help. I also suggest they get a hair test (I am assuming that it was blood test that was used to come up with " stage 3 " ?) http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html Lead takes a long time to detox, so they will need to continue to do " rounds " of DMSA, at least once a month, for a couple of years very likely. If you or they have questions about how to do any of this or why or whatever, you or they can write to either me or to the autism treatment list. It would probably be very worthwhile for them to read that list for a while. There are many parents there who are chelating little ones (mostly for mercury, but also lead and other metals), so this should provide much moral support. autism/ Oh, and you/they can read about how to buy and use DMSA some more here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA.html This: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/LOVE_LETTERS.html is " my version " of " tell them not to be too disheartened " . good wishes, Moria

Guest guest
HI Miriam Is there not lead in petrol. Water pipes used to be made of lead, and childrens toys used to be painted with lead paint. With the increase of cars in turn petrol contained lead they found that lead was affecting childrens brains, so they had to reduce lead pipes and lead in paint was banned, but some houses still have some lead paint in older houses, so you should take care on stripping off old paint in older houses. The problem is the ammount if cars on the road, and do you by any chance live in a town with lots of traffic. The problem now is too much exposure to oestrogen that is in turn causing health problems. Kathleen PS- Could eating coal as a youngster have mopped up any lead, as it contains Zinc and possibly Sulphur. I occasionally have Charcoal Capsules today, as eating coal would break my teeth. > > Some time back I posted about a persistent problem with small red blood cells (not iron deficiency). Eventually I decided to do Dr Myhill's DMSA challenge test for heavy metals done and it turns out I have lead poisoning. > > > Miriam >
Guest guest
Dear Miriam Thiamine (Vit B1) might also help with the 'sulphur compounds' in removing heavy metals. Methionine and Cysteine also contain sulphur as do selenomethionine and selenocysteine contain selenium. Selenium containing compounds will also stabilise and remove lead and other 'heavy metals' that have very insoluble sulphide/selenide compounds with either of these two elements. As for lead so for mercury. You will also need to increase your intake of Zinc, copper, manganese, etc, during any detox procedure for heavy metals. Hair loss may occur with low zinc (alopecia); blood clotting problems with low copper (via low ceruloplasmin) and an imbalance between zinc and copper may also crop up. Try to check your 'wellbeing' vs zinc and copper status on a weekly basis and adjust the speed of detox to accomodate the need to maintain levels of other trace elements (cobalt, molybdenum etc). I'd better take my own advice and recheck my own trace element levels vs cobalt ~ Co in Cyanocobalamin (for vit B12). best wishes Bob who may have been using too much thiamine without checking cobalt !! silly boy... > > Some time back I posted about a persistent problem with small red blood cells (not iron deficiency). Guest guest
Not since 1996. Interestingly, the ban has led to a decrease in crime. http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/green-living/ban-on-leaded-petrol-has-c\ ut-crime-rates-around-the-world-398151.html I haven't noticed the urge to commit any crimes, but then I have been following all kinds of detoxifying regimes for years. Maybe the problem would have been a lot worse otherwise? Miriam > Is there not lead in petrol.

Guest guest
Dear Miriam, The Zinc Taste test would help to establish what your tongue sees as your body's need for zinc ~ as per (the late) Prof Bryce- (of Reading Univesity). Prolonged bleeding time of cuts or abrasions (likewise gums on brushing teeth) might give a clue on copper status. best wishes Bob Zinc Taste test ~ a small piece of a zinc lozenge (chewed) or similar will have no taste if short of zinc, but will have a somewhat 'nasty' taste if your zinc status is Ok-ish. > > Bob, thanks for your suggestions. Guest guest
Thanks. Would prolonged bleeding indicate too little or too much copper? Miriam > > > > Bob, thanks for your suggestions. Guest guest
hi miriam it must be a relief to know what is causing your problems ...best wishes that you can finally get well. i have read that it's not a good idea to take dmsa is you have amalgam fillings ....you may well know of dr cutler who apparently is very experienced http://livingnetwork.co.za/chelationnetwork/chelation-the-andy-cutler-protocol/ " Never take any chelator in any form if you have any mercury still inside your mouth " if you decide to take 30mg of zinc and you take that amount for a prolonged period, it will probably upset your copper balance so that would need to be addressed (and possibly vit A although i'm not sure if i've imagined that!). i believe iodoral can be hard on your adrenals but if you don't have a problem in that area that may be a very good therapy and also maybe that will fix your thyroid dysfunction because i don't think you have hashi's (if i remember rightly). do you think being lead toxic could be the cause of your low cholesterol? i would be surprised if a couple of manky old carpets contained lead???? this may be of interest: http://dmsachelation.com/lead-poisoning/ " How Did I Get Lead In My Body? There are several possible ways lead got into your body. Below each of the more common exposures will be discussed. Remember there are no safe levels for lead. Chelation (removal) of lead with DMSA is well documented in the scientific literature. There are several other chelation agents but DMSA so far as been proven to be the safest and most effective. We are the lead generation. Adults with lead probably got it passed to them from their mothers invitro. Mom was exposed to lead from a variety of places, lead house paint, lead paint on dishes, leaded gasoline. It takes 4 generations to eliminate lead exposure if no agents are used to remove lead from the body. Sources of Lead Exposure 1. Our parents, passed from mother to child in vitro 2. Old Homes (paint and lead pipes) 3. Painted Dishes 4. Toys from China 5. Canned Foods (lead solder) 6. Children’s Jewellry 7. Contaminated Candy Imported from Mexico (from processing) Lead is also present in a variety of different working locations such as mines and smelting plants. Even some cosmetics such as facial powders made outside of the USA contain lead. " good luck trish > > Some time back I posted about a persistent problem with small red blood cells (not iron deficiency). Guest guest
Thanks very much for that very useful link. > it must be a relief to know what is causing your problems ...best wishes that you can finally get well. . . . Well it is one of the things that is causing my problems! > i have read that it's not a good idea to take dmsa is you have amalgam fillings .... . . . That's OK, I don't have any amalgam fillings. > if you decide to take 30mg of zinc and you take that amount for a prolonged period, it will probably upset your copper balance so that would need to be addressed (and possibly vit A although i'm not sure if i've imagined that!). . . .. . Yes, and if I take DMSA it could cause depletion of all my minerals, so I'll have to watch out for that. > I believe iodoral can be hard on your adrenals but if you don't have a problem in that area that may be a very good therapy and also maybe that will fix your thyroid dysfunction because i don't think you have hashi's (if i remember rightly). . . . . . Yes, well remembered. I already take Iodoral and haven't noticed any problems with the adrenals. I'll have to see whether getting rid of the heavy metals changes my thyroid problem. > do you think being lead toxic could be the cause of your low cholesterol? . . .. . . I've no idea. I'll have to look out for information in that connection. > i would be surprised if a couple of manky old carpets contained lead . . . . . .. Yes, the idea that we can get passed down heavy metals from the mother makes sense. I really don't know how long I've had this problem as previous heavy metal testing didn't mention lead. Guest guest
Dear Miriam Too little copper would show as prolonged bleeding time (indicating low cerulplasmin that needs copper to function) best wishes Bob > > Thanks. > > Would prolonged bleeding indicate too little or too much copper? > > Miriam > >
