Guest guest
Jen - Your cats are adorable! I couldn't vote for one over the other - both are gorgeous. Spoiled? No! They're both boys, right - and presumably neutered? I ask only because I have two neutered males and of my 6 (yes, 6!) cats, the 2 boys are the sweetest of the bunch. If I were to ever get another cat (not like I need any more), it would be a male rather than female. I love my girls, but my boys are infinitely easier to deal with. Only time I ever had achalasia-related trouble with any of the bunch was the day after my first dilatation when Spot, my 13-lb.-er, jumped up on my chest RIGHT on my lower esophagus! I went through the roof! Immediately had a chest spasm, thought everything I had done the day before had been undone! Emergency call to my MD told me otherwise, but still....it was a scare! Thanks for sharing! Carol Off topic > This is a bit off topic but I have two wonderful, sweet, cats who I > love dearly. Guest guest
Hi Carol - Sounds like you are a cat person, too. Toby is a boy but Mouse is a girl. Toby is definitely the sweeter of the two - he is just a bundle of love in a fur coat! Mouse is more intense and a bit skittish. When cats stand or jump on you, it often seems like they are standing on the wrong spot - and putting all their weight on one leg - and they suddenly feel like they are two or three times their actual weight! I can totally feel for your dilation/cat experience. When I feel sick or something I go and sit or lay down and the second I do Mouse is all over me - I feel like a grump when I'm not in the mood for it. Jen > Jen - > Your cats are adorable! Guest guest
I know -- but that's the wonderful thing about cats: they'll forgive you, no matter what. And don't forget, there are plenty of times when they're " not in the mood " either! Take care - Carol Off topic > > > > > > > This is a bit off topic but I have two wonderful, sweet, cats who > I > > > love dearly. Guest guest
I recently received a letter from a woman who's son was very hyper. I do not know what drugs, if any, were being used. His grades were poor and he was a real pain. Hello Cliff, Often this is because a highly sensitive kid is reacting to the real insanity and abuse of traditional education environments, and all the systems that come with it. Many psychologists just add to the abuse by simply saying " Drug'm. " Mark She put him on Flaxseed Oil and Cottage cheese and he calmed down, is doing great and is gettinf all A's and B's

In most other cases I agree with you completely. Dr. Salvato gave me her e-mail address for emergency problems though and it has been helpful. At times though, I can be a mild hysteric, and fortunately I have stopped myself from sending things I would later regret. It might be best for me to just delete it from my address book. Thanks. I would never have thought of that were it not for you. Sandy
Guest guest
You are saying a doctor shouldn't post to a list, or shouldn't email a patient at all? Because it sounds like you think doctors shouldn't email their patients at all, and I completely disagree! I love it when doctors agree to email me answers to questions. It is far more efficient. Thanks, Doris ----- Original Message ----- From: a Carnes However I must comment that a patient should not be getting emails from a doctor. Thanks. I would never have > thought of that were it not for you. > Sandy Others have been confused with my post. Please excuse me. I was falling asleep and it looks like I got pretty sloppy with my wording. It had the appearance of being a personal e-mail when I said I missed you. What I meant to say was that while I was lurking, I missed not writting to you all. When you don't write replys, you loose that group feeling. I must say this is probably a consequence of me trying to delete my wordy sentences also. Sorry to have taken up your time with my explanation. Thanks - Sandy
