I should just add that I heard from the online store and delivery is 4-5weeks as

You can take T3 either with food or without, it doesn't matter.

This is only for the synthetic T3, NOT the T3 that is in natural thyroid

extract as this contains T4 and T3, and T4 should be taken an hour before food.

However, because of the short half life of T3, and because the

effect starts to leave the body after 6 to 8 hours, we usually recommend taking

it first thing in the morning when you wake, and then take it again in the

middle of the afternoon (around 2.00/3.00p.m.) to 'keep the engine topped

up'. As you get up at 5.30 a.m. this would be a great time to take it as

your adrenals start to secrete high doses of cortisol around that time. You could

then take the next dose of T3 around 12.00 Noon, and as you keep increasing the

T3 every couple or so weeks, take the third dose around 6.00p.m. You may well

have to do a little experimenting to get your dose just perfect, so be prepared

for this. Remember that as you increase your T3 by 12.5mcgs, decrease the T4 by

25mcgs until eventually, you stop taking levothyroxine completely.

Remember though that your adrenals must be functioning well and

if not, you should start on a course of adrenal glandulars. Also, if you are

suffering with systemic candidiasis, this also needs to be treated and if you

have mercury poisoning caused through amalgam fillings, you might need to get

them removed. Any of these conditions will stop thyroid hormone from working,

as is the case if you have low levels of iron, transferrin saturation%, ferritin,

vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc. Your doctor should

check these out for you.

Questions:

so is the half 25mcg (i.e. approx 12mcg) to be taken with food or without or

after??

I notice after 2 weeks the whole tablet is taken split into two and one morning

and one lunch which makes me think its with food.

Do I have to be precise in how much time between the half tablets? I mean I get

up anytime between 5.30am and 7am and breakfast is normally about half an hour

after getting up. Lunch is anytime between 12 and 1.30pm ...

Finally, I am not expecting to get the T3 until after Christmas now, which is

fine, at least I know what is happening now. I was due to start the hcg diet on

Jan 1st. Do you think I can still do this at approx the same time as starting

T3? Would it matter?

sorry I tried to edit the post to add that extra sentence but couldnt, so I thought no harm in sending it along withg my original message as it was all part of the same one, without it, it didnt make sense, so I didnt delete any of my message. Taking it at 5.30 will be no problem at all and the afternoon one would be fine. When I saw Dr. P last December we got adrenals and candida sorted then, so unless has gone wrong again, which I wouldn't really know, should be okay. I do have several amalgam fillings but the dentist wont remove them, says he wont do them all in one go but as and when they need replacing he will. So can't do much else about that. Once I am taking 12.5 twice daily I then have to contact Dr. P again. He did in his letter say to get either cytomel or cynomel and gave me two web addresses to chose from and the mexican one was so much cheaper. I ordered from there before I posted here, although it will be around 5 weeks delivery as Christmas. Normally 21 days delivery but I can then order in advance to make sure I don't run out.
