Guest guest
I think you play this by instinct Chrissie and do what you think is best. You have read up enough about this subject and pretty well know what you need, so I would follow what your head is telling you. Always remember that this is YOUR health. However, whatever road you decide to go down, talk to your GP and ask him/her to work with you, which is what a doctor is supposed to do under the 'Duties of a Doctor' registered with the General Medical Council. http://www.gmc-uk.org/guidance/good_medical_practice/duties_of_a_doctor.asp Luv - Sheila Now he wants me to stay on 20mcg and to drop the 25mcg T4 until tested in 2 months rather than raise the dose again after 4 weeks. He is naturally very cautious, still wedded to the importance of the TSH-suppressed or low means huge risks etc etc. Moving too fast on this is anathema to him but I have invested a lot of time and effort in his `education` over the months. I am heartened though, by the letter from the endo who does advocate raising the dose accordingly. I accept the GP wants readings on each dosage but am tempted to raise dose anyway in a month, but will otherwise seek blood tests in early to mid January. What do people think?
