I am just checking to see if I can post. I sent a message earlier today, but, it

has not appeared yet.

Just a question - do members stay on moderation forever? It seems funny that I

can post by hitting reply to a message, but, every new message I send has to be

moderated.

Every message is moderated, whether you click reply or not. Some seem to get through quicker than others and just lately it seems some haven't got through at all. That is a problem not a moderation problem.

If a moderator rejects a message the person is always informed that they have done this and given the reason why. They are then given the opportunity to amend their message and send it again.

The moderators are all volunteers and not on their computers 24/7. This can sometimes cause a delay, but not very often.

Hi , yes, members do stay on Moderation for ever and yes,

every message, whether new, or as a reply are moderated. This is to keep

'trouble' off the forum as there are many who thrive on trying to upset members

by posting stuff that is designed to cause as much upset as they can. Our forum

works best run this way, and strangely enough, we never get anybody even trying

to post something unpleasant or rude, so people obviously know we would not

allow anybody to come here and upset our members. We learnt the hard way, but

our moderating works beautifully, and it is good when we get members telling us

what a good forum this is, when other forums can give real grief to their

members by allowing a 'free for all'. #

However, right at this point in time, I do believe that

are still experiencing problems and that some messages posted are not getting

through. It happened to me the other day, and was so annoying because I had put

a lot of information to that message and posted it direct from the forum

message board. Therefore, I had no copy to repost, and had to retype it all out

again.

Luv - Sheila

Hi Lilian and Sheila,

Thank you for your replies which answer my question. Please don't think that I

was complaining - quite the opposite - it was more a reflection of my

observations since I joined the group and also my frustration that my message

did not appear.

When it does, I will be able to tell you just what an utter complete waste of

time my daughter's appointment with the endocrinologist was today!

How about this as a quote:

referring to 24hr cortisol results - 'we have no lower level for cortisol,

therefore all is absolutely fine'

My daughter's cortisol results are at the bottom of the range!

We do understand, it can be very frustrating to find that some of your messages seem to be coming through and others not, and some later ones appearing before the previous ones.    As you have gathered, it happens to us too :(

I am sure Sheila will have plenty to say regarding the endoprat your daughter saw.    But this seems to be the case, they do not seem to take into account low or high, just so long as it is within range.

I had low haemoglobin and was sent to a blood consultant.   All he kept doing was getting me to have a test and seeing me.   Looking at the test, which was still under range, so getting me to come back four months later and another test.   Still below range so back again in another 4 months with another test.   This time it was just within range, so I was discharged.   Told to come back if it goes low again.    But unless I get tested regularly how do I know it has gone low.     The reason I was sent in the first place was because I asked for copies of my blood test results, to actually look at my TSH, but looking at the heamoglobin and other things which had been low for a long time and I was told there was nothing wrong.
