Guest guest
Hi 2 -- go back to the FILES SECTION and click on the FOLDER entitled 'Candida' and read the information in there. It recommends suitable candida diets tried out successfully by our members and the other information that you need. Luv - Sheila I have just done the Candida Questionnaire that is in the files. With a score of 305 (yep 305) I think I had better kill off the Candida before I go anywhere with thyroid treatment. I am armed with Fluconazole and Acidophylus and am thinking of a 3 week course of both. Followed in the 4th week by a dose of Lufenuron (as recommended by Dr.Myhill). Continuing with the Acidophylus. Then a 4 week rest before I do a second course if need be. Apart from the drugs/supplements I have listed, what do you suggest I take as additional support? I am already on a wheat free, nearly grain free, low carb diet (well, as low as I can get it, usually 50 to 80grams of carbs a day). When should I take these drugs? I assume that taking an anti fungal at the same time as taking Acidophylus is not really recommended, plus how much Acidophylus should I take? I am already on a wheat free, nearly grain free, low carb diet (well, as low as I can get it, usually 50 to 80grams of carbs a day). i think it's imperative to support your liver because that organ will be dealing with the die-off caused by the anti-fungal(s). there is an excellent product called hep 194 made by biocare: " HEP 194 is a specialist combination of nutrients aimed at supporting the liver. It may assist the handling of fats in the liver and contains beta sitosterol with the lipotrophic nutrients choline and inositol. " you could also try milk thistle although apparently there is some controversey about whether it is truly liver supportive ...if you go for it i would recommend the bioforce/a.vogel product that is milk thistle complex and contains artichoke extract ...actually artichoke extract on its own would be an excellent choice too. drinking dandelion tea would also help a bit. >I am already on a wheat free, nearly grain free, low carb diet (well, as low as I can get it, usually 50 to 80grams of carbs a day). i would say to be careful not to go too low carb because apparently that will inhibit t4 to t3 conversion. organic cold pressed coconut oil is highly recommended for candida problems (lauric acid i think) ...it has the double benefit that it is a good saturated fat and so is adrenal supportive as well. the adrenals need and thrive on some saturated fat but that often gets overlooked! regarding the timing of the acidophilus, i hope someone else will chime in but because candida is a yeast/fungus (and not a bacterium) and acidophilus is a probiotic, i'm not sure it would matter when you took it ...logically (to my way of thinking)an anti-fungal shouldn't kill it off ...but i may be completely wrong on that so as i say, i hope someone else with better knowledge will give an idea. best wishes for your assault on candida trish > When should I take these drugs?
