Hi, I've suddenly hit the menopause and am suffering with volcanic hot flushes, prolonged night sweats and vitually no sleep plus puffy dry eyes and very low mood. I'm pretty positive that my thyroid meds are optimum and so are my supplements. I've just read Dr Lowe's book on natural hormones and menopause (which is excellent) and have done the checklists and I think I am eostrogen and progesterone deficient. I've sent off for some of the Wellsprings new 'Twenty to One' (20 parts progesterone

to 1 part oestrogen) cream and wondered if anyone else is on it and if so how they are doing ? It's a bit confusing as I've been using Serenity for about three years very happily and then stopped when all my symptom vanished. I'm now not sure, after restarting the Serenity a couple of weeks ago, that my sudden full-on menopausal sympts are a reaction to it. It says in the book that you can get worse symptoms for a week or so when starting progesterone cream. I am confused at what to do....... carry on with just Serenity or try the Twenty to One cream... any ideas anyone please ??? I've tried liquorice and red clover but they have only helped a little with my symptoms.I think I need something stronger. Right now I can't afford a saliva test for my hormones, though I will try to get one

next month to see what exactly is going on. I am now really worried about taking oestrogen if I don't actually need it....my periods stopped about 8 months ago. Any experiences greatfully received, julia
