Guest guest
Hi, there's an article in today's Metro online about Sea and Rock Salt being just as harmful as ordinary salt. Has anybody else seen it and what do you make of it? I can't work out a way to get the article into my message but maybe somebody else knows how to do that, the article is on page 32 of today's 17th Nov. issue of the Metro online entitled " Trendy salts as bad for you as the table variety " Cheers... Guest guest
Yes i have heard about this before, it was mentioned on another group, and the owner (val who is very knowledgable with about all this stuff) said that she would just switch over to celiac sea salt instead of himalayan. Guest guest
That article seems a bit outdated, since recent research shows that salt isn't necessarily bad for you at all, unless you DO have a problem with high blood pressure, or are susceptible to salt in that way. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jacob-teitelbaum-md/salt-health_b_903673.html I've started to deliberately increase my salt intake. I already had done so (in the hope that it would stop my leg cramps at night) before I discovered that it's also recommended for adrenal problems. And in fact, I haven't had leg cramps since I started doing so.

Guest guest
Haha yeh just a typo usually when im at work and im on the when im not supposed to be i dont have time to double check and usually just type, send, then back to work Steve > > I think it was more a typo than a hypo > > Lilian > > > >she would just switch over to celiac sea salt instead of himalayan. > > > > is dyslexia a hypo or adrenal symptom???? > > >
Guest guest
>Quick question, do i need to take idonal with celiac salt or just the iodine drops. Thanks sorry if you think i'm being pedantic but it can be very confusing to people to read *typos* ....i assumed you meant celtic salt in the above sentence and also i assumed you meant iodoral rather than idonal...other people though may not have had any idea what you were talking about. it's the same situation with various people's persistent use of mg instead of mcg, it can be very confusing if you are new to all these things. you mentioned the other day about going the same way as curezone due mis-information and that's my reason for posting the correction. trish > > > > I think it was more a typo than a hypo > > > > Lilian > > > > > >she would just switch over to celiac sea salt instead of himalayan. > > > > > > is dyslexia a hypo or adrenal symptom???? > > > > > >
Guest guest
http://www.liveinthenow.com/article/eat-less-salt-%e2%80%94-and-die I don't believe for a minute that heated, processed to remove minerals, normal table salt laced with aluminium as an anti-caking agent, is as good as a proper raw salt with all minerals intact. Guest guest
Sorry trish didnt realise you were double checking all my posts. Maybe i am a bit dyslexic who knows! (joking manor) I would like to think people know what im talking about when i type in a rush, it doesnt seem too hard to work out that celiac salt is not celiac disease and that idonal is iodoral when im talking about iodine. You should see Val from the group shE typs like his alll the timE haha Steve > > > > >Quick question, do i need to take idonal with celiac salt or just the iodine drops. Guest guest
> sorry if you think i'm being pedantic but it can be very confusing to people to read *typos* << If a message is not understood one can always write a message asking what they mean, or, just like you did, point out that you presume they meant celtic salt rather than celiac salt, even if you know what they mean, as you said, others might not. So it is good to be a little pedantic for that reason. As you can appreciate there are all types of people here, and some may well be dyslexic. Some are foreign and English might not be their first language. Some are severely hypothyroid with brain fog. Some people can only type with two fingers and even then get it wrong.
