Hi - Whenever I come back from a walk my temperature is always about 1

degree lower. Its usually about 36.3 but after a walk its 35.3. This doesn`t

make sense to me - you`d think your metabolism would speed up after a walk, but

this indicates is slowed down ! I wish I knew why. Even so, your temp is still

very low. I`m not sure if this is to do with adrenal or thyroid function so

will let someone else answer that one.

If you take the temp directly after the walk, then it sounds like the mouth is

at a much lower temp due to being out in the cold air. You have been walking

breathing with the mouth i suppose.

Try taking the temp an hour after the walk, i am sure the temp will have risen

again. alternatley do an under the armpit measurement as well.

Hi Jane,

This happens to me as well. When I come back from walking my dogs my

tempreature is always lower. I would like to know why - as you say, after a

brisk walk this happens.

I feel like a bit of an 'anorak' by keeping note of my temps - basal and a

couple of times throughout the day.

I was quite alarmed at 33.3c......

I've just been in the garden chopping wood and I thought I'd measure it after

that too.

It was 32.4c.

Oh I'm going to have a lot to tell my GP!

Temperatures should be taken while you have been at rest for at least 20 minutes

and without eating. This is the correct way to chart your temps. If you eat, for

instance, and immediately take your temp, it will be much lower. The same thing

happens with exercise. You can play with this for your own knowledge but this is

what generally happens. A body in motion is different than a body at rest. I

don't have adrenal fatigue nor am I under-medicated, and my temps drop when I

eat or exercise.

Cheers,
