ARE THERE ANY ENDOCRINOLOGY BOOKS FOR BEGINNERS?

Hi all, I am trying to understand the basics of endocrinology as I have my first appointment booked with Dr S soon. I want to make sure that I get the right tests done and that he treats the more underlying hormone imbalances first. A fellow TPA member has kindly told me about Dr Thierry Hertoghe and his book 'Hormone Solution. I feel that I did not complete puberty successfully, I would like a book that goes into detail about the hormone changes that should occur during this time. Can you recommend a good book on understanding endocrinology for beginners? Thanks. Adam
