Guest guest
Dear group,I was reading about one of the most effective ways to rebalance the thyroid gland is to take a liquid iodine product called losol and non-hormone glandular supplements. I am interested in learning about both but want to ask your input about the product losol as opposed to say iodoral or Lugols. How important is the iodine loading test?Betty
Guest guest
Hi Betty, Iosol is only iodine, where Lugol's is both iodine and iodide; both are needed for the body. Iosol is very low dose iodine and in my opinion a waste of money. Lugol's (in solution form) or tablet (brand Iodoral) is the way to go. The iodine loading test is not necessary as most of us are very iodine deficient. However, if you feel you want to do the test, that is fine. I don’t know anything about non-hormone glandular supplements for the thyroid; but I do know that Natural Thyroid Hormone is a wonderful material and has helped and saved many lives over the last hundred years or so. Kind regards, Kathleen Re: anyone used losol? Guest guest
I have the Iosol bottle in my hand. The ingredients label says Glycerine (vegetarian), Iodine, Ammonium Iodide. It has 1.83 mg per drop. I use Iosol for my aching gums at times. I squirt it right onto them. The taste is far better than Lugol's, almost sweet. Buying it in bulk is pretty reasonable. (I also use Lugol's, Iodoral, and potassium iodide.) If you want absolute rock bottom price, making your own Lugol's is by far the cheapest way to get your iodine fix. I do that too. Peace and gratitude, Dean > > Hi Betty, > Iosol is only iodine, where Lugol's is both iodine and iodide; both are needed for the body.
