anyone with hypO successfully treated tachycardia?

Hi folks

I haven't really made any progress with the whole tachycardia thing. I'm one of

those awkward ones for whom hypO causes my heart to race (cardio has ruled out

anything actually wrong with my heart). I *think* that being hypo makes my heart

sensitive, so then it takes very little to set it off, so there's a whole string

of things that'll do it - too many carbs, over-heating, stress, allergies etc

etc But the biggest pain is that I can't increase my levo past 40mcg without the

tachy being unbearable - it triggers off a whole host of other symptoms that are

like being hyper (anxiety, the big 'D', insomnia etc) but bloods show I'm defo

not hyper. So life is a bit of a miserable swing sometimes between being very

hypo and very poorly in reaction to the meds.

I've addressed vitamin, mineral issues, candida, adrenals etc

I've tried bisoprolol (beta blocker). They did help with the symtpoms a lot, but

made me also feel very, very hypo, so they were stopped. Now I'm on ivabradine,

which is a new drug and not a beta blocker. It doesn't really help at all and

gives me even lower bp than normal.

I'm on evotrox (liquid levo) but still having the same reaction. I've tried

ordinary levo, synthetic t3 and erfa - same thing every time. So When I next see

endo (14 Nov) I'm going to ask for purified levo, in case I'm allergic to a

filler. There's a fair chance of this as I'm very atopic (according to my lovely

new dietician). However, this won't necessarily solve the tachy as other

allergies will be setting it off, so it might not totally work. The only other

thing I can think of is finding an alternative beta blocker or calcium channel

blocker (don't have a clue what they are, but have heard they might do the trick

).

So the million dollar question - is there a drug that us hypos can safely take

to bring down the pulse, without setting off low bp or hypo symptoms?
