Guest guest Posted November 14, 2011 Report Share Posted November 14, 2011 Weight gain occurs when the body can't keep up with the detox process and so starts storing the chemicals it can't recognize or cope with as fat, to protect the body from them. The best way to avoid weight gain is to work on one's detox pathways. This includes liver support, infrared saunas, cleanses, and that sort of thing. And it includes hormone balance in general. That way, when you detox, the body can eliminate the waste products instead of storing them as fat. There's no shortcut, although it doesn't have to be painful.
