I'm sure it did other things, but with CFS, there are always symptoms shifting. When reading the www.low dose naltrexone.org there is immense information. After reading about the MS, Parkinson's, and Cancer patients raving about their use of LDN, I am convinced I will use it all my life. Do be aware that naltrexone is a morphine derivative. If you are allergic to morphine or any of its derivatives, you may be allergic to naltrexone, too. I wanted to try it to boost my immune system, but I'm severely allergic to codeine. The pharmacist who compounds the LDN here told me that I will most likely be allergic to it, and therefore he would not dispense it to me. Just something to consider if you're thinking of trying LDN. However, that's the pharmacist I was referring to. He is the compounding pharmacist for this area. Regardless, as a former medical professional, I'm aware of cross-sensitivity with meds, so I wouldn't risk it anyway. It is an Edgar Cayce remedy. LDN I'm back on LDN. I had stopped for quite a long time and I currently am treating skin cancer on my face. I had treated it before but it came back. I went to the dermatologist and they gave me a cream that works much like black salve. I did take care of a small spot but now it's spread on both sides of my face so I'm back to the black salve which I feel is suprerior to the medication. It's definitely reacting to the salve..just started with one small spot which was treated and now it's on the other side and another spot or spots on the same side. Not a good thing. I have Hashimoto's disease and have suffered from many different symptoms, the most tenacious of which has been neuropathic pain in my feet. The pain in my feet disappeared overnight the first time I used it. I have never worked out exactly what caused this pain and LDN has not treated the cause but the pain relief was just great ............... I am soon going to have an ABs test. I shall let you know if anything important has happened because of LDN. Naltrexone does have a drug license for use at 50 mg/day for treating drug addiction and alcohol addiction. This subject is off topic here and this list is not the best source of info on LDN in any case. I take LDN, btw. Just go to the site and search on LDN.
