Guest guest
I visited my gp to show her the results of my Genova Thyroid 24 hr urine test. My result for T3 was 323 pmol/24h ( ref range 592-1850) T4 369 pmol/24h ( ref range 347 - 1994) T3: T4 ratio 0.9 (ref range 0.50 - 2.00) I was told that the urine test is no good as it only shows what is excreted from the body not what is " actually availble " and that blood tests are the only reliabe source. My previous blood tests are in the " normal range " . I was advised that she does not feel that I have a thyroid problem and that it is not causing my fibromyalgia symptoms. I can however have my thyroid bloods tested again ( Thyroid function, Free T3 and free T4) and she maybe consider referring me to see an endo. I did not even get around to showing her my cortisol test results ( I was so upset and was trying to stop myself from crying). I just dont know what to do, I have at least 32 symptoms of the hypothyroidism checklist. dawn
