Guest guest
There are problems with some messages at the present time. You will have no doubt noted during the past few days that I have posted several messages to the forum that I wrote say, two weeks ago, that never got delivered. I know that I responded to your message below to say that I had never seen recommendations for people to stop NAX before having their levels of vitamins and minerals tested but that if anybody knew differently, to let us know. It appears this is yet another message that may well appear on the group in a couple of weeks time. Luv - Sheila As no one seems to know the answer to my message a few days ago (No. 92525) re stopping NAmX before having tests for vitamins and minerals, I`ve taken a chance and stopped my NAmX and will do this for about a week before I have the blood test. I don`t want to waste this opportunity by having results skewed by supplementation. Once I have had the blood test and recommence the NAmX, will I have to go through the same procedure of stopping my Levothyroxine for a week again? I believe you cannot start NAmX if you are on Levo. I have been on NAmX for about 5 weeks. Thanks, Jane
Guest guest
I stopped NAXs to have nhs adrenal bloods done. I seem to remember not stopping immediately, but doing it over a few days, then building up again afterwards very quickly. Dr P's assistant told me that once you've been taking them for a while, you can start them up again over a few days rather than weeks. I didn't stop thyroid meds. Not sure how it will impact on your levels of vitamins and minerals - I guess it depends on how long it takes stores of each one to run down. Hope that helps > > As no one seems to know the answer to my message a few days ago (No. 92525) re stopping NAmX before having tests for vitamins and minerals, I`ve taken a chance and stopped my NAmX and will do this for about a week before I have the blood test. Guest guest
ok Sheila thanks for replying - yes, seems to be a prob with . Oh well, I`ve taken the plunge now and stopped the NAmX but will just stop for about 5 days and get tested next Monday, then recommence NAmX without stopping my Levo. Thanks, Jane > > There are problems with some messages at the present time. > > Luv - Sheila > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks Susie, that`s helpful. I`m checking how long it takes them to run down.
