It was so bad that I have now stopped getting my underarms done. Guest guest
Hi there Unfortunately the pain threshold does change with thyroid dysfunction and so does the skin - it is actually safer not to have the underarms done as your lympth glands are in the arms. I had problems with my dental procedures - I had to have about 6 injections to numb me and also facials with electrical stimulation that I had enjoyed and tolerated would make me scream with pain and I had to stop having them. So yes it is your thyroid disorder causing this. Best wishes Mandy
