The Iodine will help with everything as it is a most needed nutrient for the

complete running of your entire system. If your adrenals are bad, you should get

them in better running order before jumping into iodine. This is controversial.

Some believe it doesn't matter to start the iodine and some believe it will be

too much on failing adrenals. Personally, I believe it's best to work on the

adrenals and start the iodine protocol two weeks before starting the iodine.

But if you're just taking a couple of 1% drops a day, then you can go ahead and

do that without waiting. If you're starting higher with the iodine like say 25

mgs a day, I would get those adrenals up and running better first. Iodine is

needed by everything in the body and will certainly help the adrenals if they

are in pretty good shape. Iodine first goes to the places it is needed in the

body. Usually this is the reproductive organs, breasts, ovaries, testes first

and then gets back to the thyroid. The iodine in your blood rushes through the

thyroid gland every 17 minutes or so and this is where the thyroid will take

what it needs. Since the adrenals and thyroid play off each other, it will

certainly enhance the adrenals as well.

hi, Jot, thanks for that info. i don`t think i will try this for the moment, as my adrenals are not good and as you say they need to be better first.my symptoms are feeling cold in the hands and feet , head muzzy with tension and feeling more tired thsn usual. coming to the end of menopauseand this may be behind the problems. the begining of meno i had cold sweats and this is the adrenals, so maybe need something to boost them.don`t do well on adrenal x so not sure what to try. I think people go all wrong when they start to heal adrenals. It always starts

with the diet and our diets are off because our vegetables, fruits, etc are

grown in nutrient deficient soil, so there are basically no nutrients in what we

eat. No amino acids, no nothing. We would probably do better eating the

cardboard boxes they come in.....The adrenals need good nutrition, they need

amino acids, they need *in bed early every nite sleep* and they need less stress

and NO sugar or caffeine...certainly NO coffee or sports drinks or sweets. But

they do need salt and they do need a bit of fatty acid omega 3s.

NAX itself is missing 2 very important B vitamins so this in itself is a big

problem, already things are off balance if you aren't supplementing these Bs on

their own. I'm not a fan of adrenal glandulars which have other vitamins thrown

in, I like just the glandular alone, then add what you need.

Can you take something like this?

I also recommend protein drinks to all the people I work with because they

balance so many things like gut flora, digestion, dire-rear, constipation, etc.

And they usually do it overnight. They have probiotics in them along with amino

acids and millions of other wonderful stuff. I only recommend the low sugar,

organic products. These works wonders for just about everyone and they replace

one of your meals per day. They give energy and they start to balance things out

in the system. You want magic? Try them and see how you feel after a months

use...Generally people will find that so many things have cleared up for

them.... I use these two at the moment. I like the Amazing Grass products, they

are the best on the market.

I also use this one together with the Amazing Grass:

I don't know where they may sell these products in the UK, as far as I know no

one in the UK uses them.....but if you know where to look for them, I'd try them

as soon as possible and see if they make a big difference. You want SOY free,

low in sugar and high in fiber and amino acids and nutrients.

Can I just reitterate that if the nutrients are not in the soil then no plant

will grow?

If you think about it, if you don't give a plant the right conditions then it

won't grow.

I agree that the soil is full of man-made nutrients but they have to be there or

nothing will grow.

Please also remember that veges start to lose their nutrients as soon as they

are picked, effectively that means that supermarket veges, which have been

picked for weeks, will not have much in the way of nutrients in them.

You are better eating frozen veges which are picked and frozen within hours and

so retain more nutrients.

Thus the reason to buy organic products. Organic farmers replenish their soil...

and no, plants and weeds will pretty much grow out of concrete. :0)

No one could possibly eat as many fruits and veggies that our bodies need in one

day....all we'd be doing is eating.

Pretty sure its adrenal guys which is obviosuly linked to thyroid. As know ive

started to support adrenals only with NAX my T3 is lasting longer and i am no

longer as cold in my hands and feet.

I would like to stay away from iodine.

Cheers

Steve
