Guest guest
, taking 6 NAE daily and good vitamin/mineral support should stop any adrenal fatigue coming back. How old are you, and are you absolutely certain you don't have a high level of oestrogen. If you are not certain, ask your doctor to test your sex hormones and see where your oestrogen and progesterone are. You may well need the Serenity Cream to balance these hormones. Evening Primrose is always good to take. You can easily test whether or not it is your T3. Cut down your dosage by 10mcgs and see if the hot flushes stop. If they don't, cut it down by another 10mcgs. Luv - Sheila Also, and most importamtly, could this all be to do with my T3 ? Any advice greatly received, I feel absolutely b***dy awful. I tale 6 x Nutri Adrenals a day and a comprehensive support of high quality vitamins and minerals.
Guest guest
Hi Do you know if your symptoms also match other hormonal deficiencies too, like sex hormone imbalance? What does the hertoghe questionnaire show: thyroid treatment/files/MEDICAL%20QUES\ TIONNAIRES/ What was your adrenal friendly diet like last time, and what is your diet like now? > Also, and most importamtly, could this all be to do with my T3 ? What are you taking, do you have any recent blood test results? > I tale 6 x Nutri Adrenals a day and a comprehensive support of high quality vitamins and minerals. Do you take Vitamin C and B vitamins? You mentioned isocort in your post, have you thought about trying this again? I found the Nutri adrenal too stimulating, as if it had adrenaline in but I found the cortex suited me quite well. Could the Nutri adrenal be too stimulating for you? Chris > > > > To my horror I've realised over the past week that I have adrenal fatigue again, after over a year of feeling reasonably ok. It took a long long time previously to build up my adrenals (about two
Guest guest
Hi Sheila and thanks for your reply, no I'm not sure that I don't have high oestrogen levels. I'll go to the doctor and ask for a sex hormones test and oestrogen/progesterone test asap. I am on Serenity and have been for quite a while and been really happy with it. I'm 47 now and have had no trouble with my cycle.... it had stoppped for almost a year but is now back and normal and regular - so I'm not sure it's that. Maybe my sex hormones are up the shoot because of my adrenals ? I'm pretty sure it's my adrenals because I have just been diagnosed with post traumatic stress syndrome (receiving therapy for three weeks) and I've had a very stressful time after a flu like virus for the past three months. My adrenals also 'ache' like they used to when I originally had my diagnoses from DrP, years ago. The worst part are the MEGA intense hot flushes that happen every half an hour day and night (so no sleep). I am a train wreck now and am barely functioning. I really don't want to cut down on my T3 as I already take quite a small dose... I feel just 'on the right side' of the boundry of being undermedicated (my last blood rest ; T3 = 2.1 on scale 3.7 - 6.7) So, if it is the T3 that is proving to much for my adrenals on the low dose of 40mcg a day then I really don't know what I'm going to do. I was really quite happy with my dose and felt like I was running at about 80% efficiency. Can you please tell me any information regarding dificulty (adrenal wise) with tolerating T3 please. many thanks, julia ps: I have tried increasing my T3 (not 'allowed' to by my endo), but I went hypa. <How old are you, and are you absolutely certain you don't have a high level of oestrogen. Guest guest
Hi There really shouldn't be a problem adrenals if T3 is taken in the correct dose, split into appropriate doses throughout the day. has found that for some people, they need to take their first dose of T3 early at the same time their adrenals start to secrete cortisol, which is around 4.30a.m. - there will be more about this in his up and coming book, which we hope will be published before Christmas. You MUST however ensure that you get your levels of iron, transferrin saturation%, ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc tested to ensure that each one is where it should be in the reference range. Ask your GP to test these and to give you the results with the reference range for each test done and post them on the forum so we can help with their interpretation. To find out whether you have low adrenal reserve or not, you need to ask your GP if he will do a 24 hour urine test, but if he refuses, and he will if he believes you don't have 's Disease or Cushing's Syndrome, then you should get the 24 hour salivary adrenal profile done via Genova Diagnostics. Do not change your dose of T3 you are taking at present if you are completely happy with the effect you are getting. Doctors will insist that you titrate your dose according to your thyroid function test results, but this is stupid if you are feeling pretty good. Doctors should learn to go by their patients symptoms and signs. Thyroid function tests are often flawed if the patient is taking any form of T3, because the half life of T3 is so short and there really is no need for them to be done. Guest guest
Hi, a couple of things which im going to suggest if you think any of them mite work for you give it a try. Do you have any HC at home from the past? (if not then you can ignore this or if you have never taken HC then ignore this) Try taking 5-10mg in the morning first thing when you wake up as this is a stresfull time for the adrenals, by taking some HC to aid them in the morning can give relief of adrenal fatigue throughout the day. DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE THAN 10MG. Regarding T3, how are you dosing this ? You could try a very tiny increase if you have 25mg tablets if you are able to split a quater in half for 3mg of T3, so that you dont become hyper. You could also just try moving your last dose a bit later to a " bed " time dose. Or you could wait for 's book within the next few months which will suggest taking T3 early in the morning to support the adrenals when most needed.
