Guest guest
I have been growing a cyst on my ovary for a couple of years. The doctor has been monitoring it every 3 months with a sonogram. This last week she said the cyst is growing too fast and urged me to have surgery and possibly, removing the ovary. I am appalled she never mentioned in all this time an alternative method. No iodine, no hormones, nothing...just surgery. I have been reading about iodine for a while. I just ordered my first bottle of lugols. I have iosol so for the last 3 days I have been taking 6 iosol drops twice a day. When my lugols arrive I am planning on taking 30mg and then 50 mg depending on how I feel. I have been struggling for many years with hairloss, breast cysts...and the last month I have been so fatigued...I am sure I have an iodine deficiency..How can my Dr. be so clueless? Since I started taking the iosol (last 3 days) my energy has increased and also I see less hair loss. Strangely I also started some menstrual spotting. I am taking 1/2 tsp of redmond Real Salt and some vitamin C, Selenium and magnesium daily. (plus a multi-vitamin). Can anybody please tell me if I am starting the protocol in the right way? Can I take more than 50mg/day? The doctor wants to do surgery, she is pressuring me. I will tell her I want a second opinion to stall the process and see if the iodine helps....Anybody knows how long it takes for iodine to help with ovary cysts? Thank You!
