Hi

His last tests showed he was extremly low in B12 - she's

done a bunch of more tests and he has to go back in a month for the results and

to see how he's doing on the adrenal support she gave him (apparently she has

the supplement/s especially made for her adrenal patients and is a thyroid

sufferer herself so understands the problems - and yes, she does prescribe

NDT).

, is this doctor on my list of doctors who prescribe using

either T3 or natural thyroid extract? If not, can you write to me privately and

let me know her name and the address where her clinic is to [sheila@...]

As for me, I've taken a step backwards, unfortunately, and

am having some hypo symptoms again. I had increased the dosage of NDT too much

a while back and had to go right back down and start again, which was fine, and

apart from a racing pulse, I didn't have any other adverse symptoms. But now I

have worked up very, very slowly again to 1 and 1/2 grains and am finding that

after the evening dosage (1/2), my pulse starts racing a little while later, so

I can't increase the dosage, yet my temperatures have dropped, my eyes are

becoming inflamed again, and I'm not sleeping well again just in the last few

days. I'm still taking all the supplementation, and the only thing I had

decreased in the last few weeks is the HC (decreased slowly down to 15 instead

of the 20 I was on, but was also taking Thorne adrenal cortex to replace the

missing HC as I had intended to increase the adrenal cortex and reduce HC

slowly) so presume my adrenals are playing up again to cause all this. Has

anyone here had success decreasing HC while using adrenal cortex? I've been on

HC since June and don't want to stay on it too long so was hoping to be able to

start reducing. I know you're supposed to reduce 2.8 every two weeks - I've

done it a little slower than that

Many of our members take other adrenal supplements as well as

their HC . I am wondering whether you decided to decrease your HC too

soon, and your adrenals need the original dose when you felt well. Perhaps you

need to go back to that dose again. Why did you decide to decrease your HC in

the first place?

The other thing I'm experiencing is pain in my hands, especially around the

thumb area, and I can hardly open jars or bottle tops etc anymore. Is this a

side effect of HC as I've never had this before?

You need to speak to your GP about this as I doubt this is a

side effect of HC, but I don't know for sure.

Hi Sheila,

yes, I think I will be going back to the original HC dosage and see what

happens. My adrenals are probably not strong enough yet and need that bit more

help. I decreased because I felt quite well and hoped that I could start

decreasing slowly, while increasing the adrenal cortex, but it seems to be too

soon. I do finally have an appointment with Dr. P, but only in January, so have

to battle on till then.

I've sent you a private email about the doctor.

best wishes
