Guest guest
I live just north of Mexico and it took a whole three weeks to get to me. They said customs is checking things more than usual and they have no control over it. I'd add a good week to 10 days if you're in the UK. Cheers, JOT > Has anyone received an order from My Mexican Drug Store recently. I placed an order on 13 September which they have confirmed was shipped on the 15 but I have still not received it. My previous orders were much quicker and I'm worried it's been lost.
Guest guest
Hi Noreen, have you checked with your local sorting office that there is not a package waiting for you to pick up. Sometimes, goods costing over £18 get stopped at Customs and they slap their VAT on top, sending it to the local Sorting office, who then slap another £8.00 'handling fee' on top of that. However, they usually send a post card telling you that such a package is waiting for you to pick up (they never deliver the package) and you have to go and collect it yourself. Just something worth trying. Luv - Sheila Hi, Has anyone received an order from My Mexican Drug Store recently. I placed an order on 13 September which they have confirmed was shipped on the 15 but I have still not received it. My previous orders were much quicker and I'm worried it's been lost. I've now been without T3 for a week and I'm really beginning to notice it (I don't take any T4). If any one else is waiting for an order it would help to put my mind at rest. Guest guest
Hi Noreen, I ordered some earlier this year and it came within 2 weeks, but I am waiting on some parcels from iherb that were dispatched in mid August and they still haven't arrived? I am going to do as Sheila suggested and try my local sorting office tomorrow as I havent received a card. Good luck, x > > Hi, > > Has anyone received an order from My Mexican Drug Store recently. > > Noreen x >
Guest guest
Hello Noreen I placed an order two days ago and received a letter today saying that it would be 3.5 to 4.5 weeks 'DEPENDING ON POSTAL SERVICE TIMING,SECURITY and CUSTOMS Screening, ETC,' Hope this helps. Guest guest
HI Noreen, I purchased T3 from Mexico and also received a message saying that there were delays at customs and that it would take 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 weeks to arrive, but it arrived a week after ordering and delivered by Royal Mail and nothing further to pay, but I think to be on the safe side I will place another order. I certainly feel better on the mexican T3 as opposed to the T3 that NHS supply. I have also stopped taking T4 now, so as that dies off will increase the T3. My GP does know what I am taking, but I now feel that I know what is wrong for me with the NHS brand of T3. Guest guest
Hi Just to let you know that I ordered from Iherb about 3 weeks ago and the order arrived within one week - hope you receive yours soon. I ordered from my mexican drugstore too and that took about 3 weeks or so - I suppose it depends on whether you are lucky in receiving it quickly or not! Guest guest
Thank you for all of your replies, it does seem as if there is more of a delay from Mexico at the moment. I'll let you know when mine arrives so others have an idea when to expect theirs. I've been ordering one bottle at a time so it has been under the £18 threshold for duty but it is more than £15 so from November it wont be worth doing that. I don't mind paying the duty/VAT but the £8 charge by the Post Office really is taking the mickey. I managed to get one prescription from my GP but she wasn't really happy about it. I'll have a word with her when she returns from maternity leave but I don't hold out much hope. Noreen x
Guest guest
MODERATED TO REMOVE MOST OF PREVIOUS MESSAGES. PLEASE CHECK YOU HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE CLICKING 'SEND' AND LEAVE JUST A SMALL PORTION OF WHAT YOU ARE RESPONDING TO. LUV - SHEILA ________________________________________ Hi This happened to me last year. I emailed the drugstore and they traced the package for me, and were able to tell me which flight it left on. They explained that they had travelled to Mexico City airport to sort out the delays on lots of packages. They even emailed me a couple of weeks later to check if I'd got my stuff (which I had). So if you haven't emailed them yet it's worth doing. They may not be able to speed things up but can let you know what stage of the journey your package is at! I found them really lovely to deal with, and wouldn't want to get my T3 anywhere else. Guest guest
, The majority of us cannot get the NHS to prescribe T3. We cannot get them to even test the T3. My GP even told me that they take no notice of T3 when I showed him test results from private lab that T3 was below range and I still had symptoms even though thyroxine had been increased. I get it now on NHS, some 8 years later and with a fight and having to buy it myself for that time. In fact it was the NHS trying to prove to me that I didn't need it that actually proved that I did lol. Guest guest
You may be able to increase your dose of T3 once you get your iron levels sorted out . This will be interesting to see what goes on after Baby is born and you start to really benefit from the iron injections. Guest guest
Hi Noreen, My order arrived today, ordered on the 1st October, so not too bad really. It didn't get checked in customs which was lucky. I hope yours arrives soon. Bryony > > > > > Thank you for all of your replies, it does seem as if there is more of a delay from Mexico at the moment. Guest guest
Thank you Bryony, that info has helped me to make a decision and I've now ordered some more just in case my order has simply gone astray. Guest guest
Hi Sue, Yes I did email tham and they replied very quickly with the flight information. I'm really pleased with the service I've had from them too, my order is probably kicking round a sorting office somewhere. Noreen x > Hi > This happened to me last year. Guest guest
Yes, I 'm waiting for mine, too The mexican drug store is really going to benefit from the medical profession's stubborness and short-sightedness in refusing to work with T3 So, more power to mexico then!!! Guest guest
Hi Sheila ( & anyone else who has been in the same boat!), I asked at my local sorting office today and they checked and said my parcels sent in mid August are not there. I emailed iherb to say that I have been waiting more than 9 weeks and they replied saying to be patient and that my package is not insured. Has anyone had a parcel never arrived and am I supposed to just wear the loss? I am missing 4 parcels and am getting frustrated as I am waiting for supplements that I really need. I know there are bigger things in life, but I can't afford to lose 4 x £18 + postage and I am just feeling a bit fed up I have emailed iherb again but get the feeling I am being fobbed off. Guest guest
Hi It's a pain, isn't it? I ordered from mexico must be 6 weeks week ago now and no sign of it, and i had another order not turn up at all. It does seem to just be the regular mail that's affected though - i was running very low on HC earlier in the year and ordered some but used the 48hr postal service, and my goodness what a difference! i did get it in 48 hrs, and they carrier paid the customs and then sent an invoice a week later. I tried ordering from iherb with DHL and again I got this really fast, about a week. i don't know what is going on with the postal services what are you waiting on? chris > > > Hi Sheila ( & anyone else who has been in the same boat!), > I asked at my local sorting office today and they checked and said my parcels sent in mid August are not there. > I emailed iherb to say that I have been waiting more than 9 weeks and they replied saying to be patient and that my package is not insured. Guest guest
Hi The main things I am waiting for are some Iodoral, DHEA, magnesium, Vitamin C & some melatonin for my OH. I ordered back in August thinking they would arrive in time. I'm not doing very well at the moment and I don't have the money to buy it all again from the UK at the moment. The whole point of buying it abroad was to save money so now I am feeling a bit gutted. I'm not sure if distance selling regulations apply to stuff bought abroad. I have emailed iherb asking how long I am supposed to wait? Thanks again, x > what are you waiting on? > > chris >
Guest guest
Is it possible to claim it back on your credit card? If I had any of those things spare (the ones that didn't require a prescription) I'd send some to you but I don't sorry I hope you start to feel better soon Chris
Guest guest
I think the company can be made responsible for loss of your package, whether it was insured or not. I know there was one company that we ditched quite some time back because people were not getting the goods they ordered, and this happened to me. The company told me the package was not insured and therefore it if became lost there was nothing they could do. However, I got onto my credit card service provider (I had paid this way) and they took up the case for me. In my case, the cost of the goods had been just over £90. I gave them all the details they needed i.e. copies of my original receipt from the company, copies of the message telling me the goods had been shipped out to me with the date, copies of my correspondence with them telling them I had not received the goods, and copies of their messages telling me they were not insured and therefore they were not responsible. My Service Provider managed to get me my money back and the £90 odd was paid back into my account by the company. This is something you might try, if you paid with a card . At that time, this was starting to happen to quite a lot of our members with this company. We do not use them anymore and they were struck off our list. Guest guest
Thank you for your replies everyone. x that is really kind of you but I just want iherb to fulfill my orders. I am still awaiting a reply from my email sent yesterday. Sheila, I paid by VISA electron as I don't have any credit cards, but I have just had a search on 's " Money Saving Expert " website and it seems that you can do a " chargeback " with a VISA debit card, though apparently many bank staff aren't aware of this? If I don't hear back from iherb by tomorrow then I will call my bank and see if they can help? Thanks again for all your help & sorry Noreen for hijacking your thread! I really hope your T3 turns up soon! x > > Is it possible to claim it back on your credit card?... > Chris >
Guest guest
Yes - I paid with my Visa card and my bank arranged the 'Chargeback' - it was them who made me aware of this, not me of them, so your Bank may already be aware of this. Telephone them and give them the details.. Good luck . Guest guest
Sorry for the late reply but I am trying to catch up. I have never had any Mexican T3. I have only had liothyronine. It is the generic (I think) produced in the UK. It was originally prescribed by the private doctor and is now being prescribed by NHS. But in truth, I am taking 4 grains Erfa and 20mcg of T3 which seems to suit me best. Lilian Can I ask how the Mexican t3 is compared to the goldshield one, and what dose you take.
