Guest guest
Well, I have whined on here a couple of times about how I haven't noticed any improvements since being on iodine. I finally had the ultrasound of my thyroid and was extremely disappointed to find out that my goiter hadn't shrunk, nor had any of the nodules. I guess the good news is it didn't get any worse, but I was expecting something great. I've been taking iodine for a year, most of that at 37.5 mg iodine, and up to 87.5 mg the past 4-5 months (I seem to have trouble with those final leaps to 50 and 100). So, what's the answer? Is it possible I am just not taking enough? I've noticed that I seem to have trouble absorbing nutrients, so I'm wondering if that could be it as well. I've been taking Iodoral but am wondering if the Lugol's would be better in that regard. I also started thyroid medication (Naturethroid) about 3 months ago, at a relatively low dose.Thankfully I don't have any serious thyroid problems, no thyroid disease, but I do want it to function at its best and the ongoing presence of a goiter with nodules is discouraging.Any thoughts would be appreciated.Thank you, Angie <insert witty or inspirational quote here>
