I think the idea that the fact that the nodules and goiter and have not grown is

progress. It definitely can't shrink if it's still growing.

You should work very hard on your detox pathways and gut health.

You may want to raise your dose, but you should definitely be happy with NOT

PROGRESSING, and a year isn't that long considered the deeply metabolical

nature of these thyroid problems. If the nodules/goiter haven't gotten bigger,

that

means no potential problems with any cells in the nodules have progressed, and

are therefore in check. Being in check is a very good thing.

Gratitude for progress is also a very good thing.

Angie - I agree with what said here. You did not state what other nutrients you were taking with the iodine. Also Vit A has been show to help with increased uptake of iodine into the thyroid cells. It has mainly been used in connection with increasing sucess of intake of RAI but the mechanism is the same. You are trying to get iodine into the cells. I took Sunny A which is from Kroeger Herbs (amazon.com has it) and it is from both carrot and fish sources at 25,000 iU per tablet.

I can start taking vit A. I get about 5,000 iu in my multivitamin. I am taking the other companion nutrients. My only concern with vit A is I believe it is fat soluble, so I haven't wanted to take too much.-AngieOn Oct 23, 2011, at 2:36 PM, ladybugsandbees wrote: Angie - I agree with what said here. I think my detox pathways are pretty good... that is, I have rarely gotten anything I would call detox symptoms, and I have done two liver cleanses. What would you recommend to improve gut health? I'm not sure why I don't absorb well. Right now I'm taking Digest Gold enzymes and raw ACV in water before each meal. It's only sort of helped. I do have a candida problem that I am treating with both prescription anti-fungals (on a rotating 10 days on, 10 days off schedule) and grapefruit seed extract. I also take a good probiotic. I'm spending $$$ (almost $300/month in vitamins!) and ain't seeing a whole lot of anything. Thanks, angieOn Oct 23, 2011, at 5:00 AM, Baker wrote: I think the idea that the fact that the nodules and goiter and have not grown is progress.
