Guest guest
Hi all! Quick history: 1. July diagnosis of abnormal cells with probable papillary carcinoma in a 7mm nodule 2. Endo says get it out, blah blah blah 3. Won't do it, find a 2nd opinion with surgical oncologist and have another biopsy 4. 2nd biopsy in September comes back benign 5. 1st biopsy slides read by another pathologist who declares they are definitely cancerous cells Now, I realize that it can be hit or miss anyways with these biopsies, but with 6 pokes in a nodule that's less than 1cm big and one sample shows positive, I'm just not so sure what to think. I can not accept having surgery for this, but am really wondering......when do you know that it's all ok and you have been able to heal? Do you just continue watching the nodules for growth every 6 mos? Also, I realize this may be a silly question, but do I continue thyroid meds and my iodine/supplement protocol? Thanks so much for this wonderful group! Blessings, W.
